The 16 inch size is too small for adult cats. My cats, who are on the smaller end--around 10lbs--were too big to comfortably fit in this carrier. I think this listing must have originally had multiple size options, because I notice some people in the reviews saying they opted for the "medium" or larger size. None of the reviews saying this carrier worked for their adult cat specifically mention the 16 inch size, which makes me wonder if the listing was not originally this size. My small adult cats standing up were taller than this carrier. It would have been difficult for them to turn around inside the carrier, and they would not be able to stand up. The picture of this carrier with a fairly large adult cat and Yorkie is not representative of the size in person. It is much smaller in person. I do not recommend a 16 inch carrier for an adult cat, maybe a tiny Chihuahua or a kitten, but not a full-grown cat.
Really nice size. Easy to get in. The zipper however is bad on one end due to material not sewn correctly. I just use a clamp on that section as I needed it or otherwise would have returned
We absolutely love this carrier and more importantly our fur baby Raja loves it to. He felt so comfortable and safe in it. The multiple access points are very handy. I would 100% suggest a carrier such as this.
Finally, a carrier that works. I have several, this one is the only one that works in all ways. THANK YOU.
This is my new favorite carrier! It's sturdy and spacious, and my cat seemed very comfortable in it for a long car ride.
Unfortunately my 6 month old cat figured out how to open the zipper and escape, if there was some kind of lock for the zipper this wouldn't be an issue but Unfortunately I won't be able to use this carrier.
I purchased this cat carrier bag for a friend of mine whose cat is named "Bell". I love the color, the size and all the features. It was definitely a good choice of pet carrier bags.
Love this carrier! Perfect for my cat. Easy to carry, soft inside that is removable, and the little windows give her somewhere to peek out. Highly recommend!
This is one of a couple soft carriers I'm trying out. There are a few things I like about it, but there are also a couple things that keep this from being a winner for me. I like the form. It's sturdy and with the arch, there's a decent amount of room for my 9.5 lb male cat. The interior lining has held up against any scratching my little guy has done. It's got 2 side pockets that I don't happen to use but would come in handy for anyone that might. And the mesh openings are also still intact. I knew there were only front and side openings but gave it a try anyway. After trying these out...I miss a top loader as my guy fought being placed in the front loader. But the biggest letdown was the long shoulder strap (which I've NEVER used) coming undone one day when I was taking him to the vet. I pulled on it to lift it into my car and the strap slipped from the seam of the carrier. Thankfully I didn't have it high off the ground. But it was alarming. Like I said, I do like the carrier but now I'm nervous about the seams on the shorter handles. They look to be double stitched and since those are the one I've been using all along, I'm hopeful won't give out on me. But I'll probably be supporting from the bottom as well from now on. I have another carrier option that I'll test but I'll keep this in my arsenal.
Perhaps my cat is just a little Houdini, but she routinely is able to open the zippers from the inside so I had to zip tie each one closed. Then, most recently, she tore through the wall of the carrier and escaped into the moving car. The carrier feels sturdy, but it did not fit my needs. I will be getting a hard plastic one now.
