is the toy non-toxic and bpa free??

Answer by ChewyDec 12, 2017
The Monster Balls are non-toxic and BPA free.

Do the Monster Ball's teeth grip the treats really hard, and is the mouth deep enough so that a treat can be placed back in its mouth about 1/2" - 1"? My dog needs a challenge.

Answer by ChewyJul 27, 2018
The monster ball actually works best when treats are placed into the ball so that your dog can get that challenge. You can even stuff the insides with softer treats like peanut-buter or yogurt. Depending on the size of the treat, if left between the teeth, the grip strength can vary.

Is this item dishwasher safe?

Answer by ChewyJun 08, 2023
This toy is top-rack dishwasher safe.

Will this work well if stuffed with dry kibble, or does it really need soft treats like peanut butter, etc.?

Answer by ChewyNov 09, 2025
The hollow center can be stuffed with any type of treat, like regular biscuits, peanut butter, or yogurt as well as kibble.

My dog loves food/treat dispensing toys. It slows down his eating and stimulates his mind. Unfortunately, after a day of leaving this on the floor with treats (not kibble), he'd given up on it. It makes a good toy for playing fetch, not so much so for dispensing treats.

Best rubber treat ball yet!

I've only ever had perfectly round treat balls with a little round hole for treats. I LOVE these for my dogs. The irregular shape makes it roll all over the place

I've only ever had perfectly round treat balls with a little round hole for treats. I LOVE these for my dogs. The irregular shape makes it roll all over the place and the wide, thin opening is great for putting in peanut butter or yogurt with a butter knife. I use natural peanut butter which is runny but they can get to it without making a mess. I love kongs, but the peanut butter sometimes runs out of the little hole on top. These only have the one opening so no peanut butter escapes

Not good for even small dogs.

We have a puppy who is only three weeks old and is a chihuahua-dachshund mix. She had this toy for two weeks and is already chewing pieces off of it. Stick with

Good for treat stuffing, but just a step below ‘super- chewer’ toughness

Easier to get treats out if you rip out part of the mouth

Top 1000 Contibutor

It's okay.

This is like most treat dispensing toys, too easy, but he sometimes enjoys chasing the ball.
