How large of a pill does this allow? My dogs take a chewable thats about the size of a dime. Both dogs are smaller (less than 10#) and refuse to chew them. Looking for a crusher that would accommodate the chewable. Or I have to use a hammer :-( which is not desireable.

Pet Pill Splitter/Crusher

Very pleased with the product. Not only do I have to split my Pet’s pill but I have to crush the med in the food. It’s so easy to crush and if I want the med finer than I use the part that does the crushing by hand. You can really fool your pet to lick up his/her wet food

Not able to crush very large pills

My dog takes the large-dog-sized Dasuquin tablets. They are supposed to be chewable, but he won't eat them, so I have to crush them into his food. This crusher will not handle a pill that big, even when broken into quarters. And if you have to break it smaller to fit it in, you might as well just crush the pill with a fork. Very disappointed. I assume it works fine for smaller pills, but the information on the page should not say this will work for large or giant breeds, or should be specific about the measurements of the pill that can be crushed.

Fantastic tool!

A friend of mine recommended the pill crusher as I have several pets that are on meds. I have used a pill splitter to cut the pills in the past but then have to mash the pieces with a knife. This crusher is fantastic! Reduces the pills to small particles effortlessly. Particles are so small they easily dissolve in food. Rather expensive, but well worth the money!

Not good quality

The pill splitter doesn't split the small pills very well. The crusher works fine. Would not recommend this pill splitter.

Pill splitter and Crusher

I have two Chihuahuas on meds. My smallest is 3 1/2 pounds, with no teeth. No way to get a pill down her throat...this makes giving her meds quick and easy by slipping the crushed product into a small amount of food. The splitter helps keep the dosage accurate.. Highly recommended...

Pill Crusher

This is a great pill crusher. Not a very good pill cutter. The pill always slides and does not cut evenly I’ve had much better pill cutters.

Pill Crusher

If you have arthritis in your hands, like I do, I wouldn't recommend it. It didn't crush the Vetmedin sufficiently because I had a hard time turning the crusher. The crusher I got at Walgreens worked better and was cheaper. The pill splitter crushed the pill instead of splitting it.

Crusher is great

Finally a method to turn pills into powder. Molly is expert at spitting out pills, but powder sprinkled on food is another matter.
