Best purchase for flightless fruit flies

I was watching my friends jumping spider and mantas.. the flies she got from the local store it was not good and every where else was out, I saw I could order them

I was watching my friends jumping spider and mantas.. the flies she got from the local store it was not good and every where else was out, I saw I could order them on chewy and would be here 2-3 days which was perfect timing. They showed up and they were all alive and were reproducing like crazy, I had to gently shake some down to feed the mantas and spider in the photo, it was full of flies and worth the money

Livesaver

I don’t know why but finding these little guys locally is not easy. I was having to travel to the next town 30 minutes away to maybe find a container and if I did

I don’t know why but finding these little guys locally is not easy. I was having to travel to the next town 30 minutes away to maybe find a container and if I did they were typically almost done with their cycle which didn’t do me much good. I have 8 baby anoles. I was hesitant to try to order live insects because I was worried they wouldn’t make it to me alive since I live in a desert with heavy winters and hot hot summers. I’ve received several orders of these now and my gosh has it been a lifesaver. I appreciate that the culture is just starting so I always give these guys a couple days to a week to start to reproduce. From there I have so many flies it’s kind of disgusting haha. Went from stressing on how to feed the little lizards to a full buffet thanks to Josh’s Frogs. Happy customer for sure - would highly recommend

Bad shippiny

Container is cracked in 2 places and smashed in so stuff is leaked out and flys was in and box. So what was alive is gone.

Poor quality

There were less than 15 fruit flies in this container. I have ordered these before and been able to keep my frogs fed for over a week. This didn’t make it 2 days

Warning: Order Direct From Josh's Frogs

The fruit flies on the right are from chewy and the ones on the left are directly from Josh's Frogs. I don't know what condition chewy is keeping the fruit flies

The fruit flies on the right are from chewy and the ones on the left are directly from Josh's Frogs. I don't know what condition chewy is keeping the fruit flies in, but I received two separate orders from chewy with dead fruit flies; which surprised me because i've never had issues with josh's frogs before on any insects or other feeders that i've ever ordered. The fruit flies that I ordered direct from Josh's frogs arrived very quickly and no fruit flies where dead. This is most likely a quality control issue with chewy. I would recommend not ordering any of josh's frogs feeders from chewy and instead going directly through josh's frogs website.

All flies arrived dead

All flows arrived dead but maybe 2. Tried to put the two live ones in the tank, but dead ones must have fallen in. Ants attacked the tank and ate the animal.

Non Producer

Have been purchasing fly cultures for over 15 years. Some suppliers better than others, this particular pair of cultures were severely lacking in food and media

Have been purchasing fly cultures for over 15 years. Some suppliers better than others, this particular pair of cultures were severely lacking in food and media and never produced. Josh's had always offered some of the best cultures-maybe a bad day.

The food for the flies was rotting

The flies don’t last long without a soild food base
