The flies are thriving and reproducing faster than my jumping spiders are eating them to the point where I’ve had to cull the population a bit. This size is definitely more suited for reptiles that will eat more than just a few a day. As long as there’s food left for the flies, you will not run out. They like darkness so I’ve been storing the container in the original box that it came in, I’d recommend trying that if you don’t have another dark place for them.

Because it's winter and they were not shipped immediately the worms were cold and near death. I don't plan on ordering again until shipping is quicker or the season is warmer. Until then I will just drive an hour to get horn worms as inconvenient as it is.

Do not by fruit flies from Josh’s frogs

This culture never comes with any fruit flies doesn’t matter if you wait a week two weeks to see if it will blossom and it doesn’t one of the worst fruit flies cultures

This culture never comes with any fruit flies doesn’t matter if you wait a week two weeks to see if it will blossom and it doesn’t one of the worst fruit flies cultures in the business literally anywhere else would be better I’ve bought hundreds of dollars worth of these flies and it’s the same thing every time. Highly would not recommend absolutely a waste of money and time

Not a single live fruit fly!

This is how my fruit fly culture arrived. There is not a single live fruit fly in a supposed to be producing culture, though it looks like a fresh started culture. The box apparently was turned upside down multiple times during transport. Causing liquid to leak all over the box and producing what looks like mold all over the top of the container as well as the inside of the box. This is the third time that I have received cultures and this condition. I'm extremely disappointed and will not be ordering again.

This is our third order. All 3 have arrived on their side or upside down with melted food source EVERYWHERE. All contents have been dead on each delivery. I know it is hot and don't blame the company for the poor delivery quality, but I think we're going to wait until the fall to order again before we decide what's really going on.

Waste of money

Flies were dead when I opened the package. The box was only outside for about an hour. If you are transporting live animals in the heat, I feel you have a responsibility to make sure they at least make it to their destination alive. Like even a bit of Styrofoam or a cooling pack or something

They arrived dead which wasn't surprising with the extreme heat. What upset me is they didnt even attempt to package it to protect from heat. I've ordered from other places and there is always some form of protection. This box literally just had a piece of brown paper which does nothing for temperature. I'm not actually surprised but they asked for a review.
