How To Store & Serve
Storing
Store frozen food for up to 18 months in the freezer. Thawed food can be kept in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.
Thawing in Fridge
(Recommended) 24 hours for 18 ounces of food and up to 48 hours for 72 hours of food.
Thawing in Cold Water
1 hour for 18 ounces of food and 3 to 5 hours for 72 ounces of food.
Serving
Place the appropriate amount of fully thawed food in your dog’s food bowl and serve!

Not for all dogs…
I don’t like leaving negative reviews; however, have to share. My 74lb 2.5 yr old rescue Husky started getting really picky and not wanting nearly any kind of dog food have tried. Saw the very high reviews for this food and thought would be great to try. Ordered a couple of flavors and unfortunately this food is absolutely horrible. She ate a little bit of the first packet and then spent the night vomiting and two days of dehydration. She now will not eat any of it, will not even come close. Not sure if it is her taste buds; however, unfortunately cannot recommend this food. Will try to donate if another dog may like it, else will just throw away. Am very disappointed, had really high hopes with this food. Just absolutely cannot recommend.
Unsure if we will continue
My dogs have tried many different foods. Due to allergies we have tried to figure out what causes one pup to break out constantly. I purchased this as I used to cook for them but due to other issues the vet recommended HSD z/d formula which only seemed to cause his mouth to break out. My dogs don't seem anymore excited about the frozen packaged food then there regular kibble however when I actually prepare the food myself using the recipe they seem to gobble it right up. I'm not sure what I'm doing differently, maybe it's the freshness but as you can see my dog hasn't touched her food all morning and the other one only picked at it...I will not purchase the prepared packages anymore as they won't really eat it and I've thrown more away then they will consume. I will continue to prepare the food myself. I tried adding cooked ground beef but she still isn't interested. This is the fish one. In the photo we also tried beef, and turkey. The beef she ate but she's itching quite a bit. Unsure of the cause as it's currently winter so possibly dry skin.
NOT good for sensitive skin!!
Be Careful. It seemed to be good and healthy. My dog ate it but it’s apparently NOT GRAIN FREE and my dog was scratching days! I did nit see anything un the ingredients that caused me to be concerned but clearly there is. Now I’m stuck with a bunch of food my dog can’t eat!!
Great Idea
For our dog, this didn't work, he wouldn't eat it, tried to put with kibble, tried without and dry but he went 3 days not eating his dinner, so gave it away
Great fresh dog food that doesn't upset his tummy
Beanie is a picky eater and will normally pick out most veggies. So far, he has tried the chicken and the fish meals. He appears to love both. He will have JustFoodForDogs for his Thanksgiving meal too- probably a little more than normal. But, we like the mix of ingredients and he has not had an upset stomach, which is a great thing! The colors, textures, and shelf life are really good. We thawed the package and put it in the refrigerator to serve him on future days. We recieved sample bags of the food for being a BzzAgent and appreciate the opportunity very much. The only thing I would recommend is making sure to have a smaller bag of food. For smaller dogs it is more difficult to use the food within 3 days. Perhaps what we got was a larger serving because we are testing the food.
Wholesome dog food
I received this as part of a free sampling program. My dog absolutely LOVES this food and always gets super excited when it is time to eat. It is made with wholesome and clean ingredients which I love. I also like that it is made with simple and clean ingredients, so it makes easy for me to know exactly what I am feeding my dog. I do wish that the packaging was better and easier to portion out so it does not make such a mess when I am trying to get the amount I need for my dog. Other than that I am overall satisfied with this food for my dog.
Healthy eating for 7-yo Izzy
Izzy has always been eating organic dry food, sometimes with some canned wet food on top of her organic dry food. I honestly didn't know how she would react to complete wet food so I weened off the dry food slowly by giving more JustFoodForDogs Healthy Weight wet dog food than dry. She enjoys wet food so she enjoyed this too. I think she enjoyed the venison a little more than fish. One thing I do like is that I can see the ingredients and know what they are. I appreciate that this is human-grade. I would recommend this to other dog owners. We are what we eat. Disclosure: we received this product as part of a free sample program.
My dog really enjoys
I received this as part of a free sample campaign. We have a 25LB Pembroke Welsh Corgi who will eat anything and everything. We were not afraid that she would not like it, but we were not prepared on how excited she got when I went to the refrigerator instead of the closet to get her dinner. She starts hopping around and wagging her nub like crazy. She does not seem to prefer one flavor over another, but we do. The fish one is stinkier than the others and a bit looser. I do wish they would include some storage bowl and scoop. Getting a consistent amount of food each time can be tricky. Overall, She loves it. We use it as a special treat or mix it with her regular kibble to stretch it out.
Great Food!
I received this as part of a free sample program, and so far, my dog has loved the JustFoodForDogs food! I am a big believer in giving my dog “real” food and not limiting him to canned food or kibble. He absolutely loves this food! So far he’s had the venison and fish varieties. Both have agreed with him and caused no noticeable issues. He doesn’t seem to have any issues in his stools or with allergies in his paws or skin. He eats the whole bowl in a matter of minutes. I have tried the other big “fresh food” brand, and JustFoodForDogs ranks right up there as the best I’ve seen. If I were to have any complaints I would ask for more information on the labels, such as nutrition and serving instructions. Otherwise though, I couldn’t be happier with this dog food. Definitely would recommend!
Venison was loved!
(I received this product as part of a free sample program) This product looks and smells similar to other types of whole food I have given to my pet. The biggest difference is this is keep frozen and then thawed before use. Seems to be very fresh. The biggest benefit was that my dog really loved the venison one. She would get very excited to eat when typically her food sits in the bowl all day. I would most definitely purchase the venison one for my dog as a once in a while dish and would recommend to friends and family. My pup persaonaly did not like the fish one but absolutely loved the venison.
