Would this brush be safe to use daily or on a more regular basis? I want to cut down on shedding and I've read de-shedding tools can cut the undercoat if used to frequently. I know this is not technically a de-shedding tool but it seems to get a lot of fur out. How often to brush for best results?

Anywhere from several times a week to daily is fine for medium-haired cats. If your cat's hair is denser or if they shed a lot, daily is better. Slicker brushes work well to remove dirt, dander and dead and loose hair. When used regularly they'll prevent matting, but can also be used to help remove them.
