I brushed my Great Dane with my old undercoat rake for 15 minutes beforehand, just to see if this one did anything more. You'd think she was a German Shepherd with all the hair that was coming out. So gross! It just never ended. [it took about 20 minutes for me to stop getting gobs of hair after each swipe]. I was shocked! By far the best thing I've bought for her grooming needs in a long time. She is SO soft, and no longer leaves little black hairs on my white tile after lying down XD

Gets hair

Gets alot of shedding hair, but use outdoors. It has no teeth to hold hair for disposal.

This comb is a life saver! All the other brushes and combs I’ve tried did not get the top layer of hair, just the undercoat. This comb gets it all. It has greatly reduced the hair in my house and on furniture. Do use it outside, and don’t push down too hard or you might break it. Great product!

Verry Messy

I have a Karilean Bear dog who sheds a ton. Had heard this works well but when I was using it it didn't really seem to pull the deeper hair out and man is it messy

I have a Karilean Bear dog who sheds a ton. Had heard this works well but when I was using it it didn't really seem to pull the deeper hair out and man is it messy. We were doing this outside (thank goodness)and the brush doesn't hold onto the hair so it is just lying all over on top of the dog and if there is even the slightest breeze its blowing the hair everywhere. I used it once and don't forsee using it again. At least it was cheap.

The shedding blade does appear to take off loose fur from my dogs. I can also use it on their blanket to get off the accumulated lost fur. The blade is supposed to have two sides (one to use on short hair dogs and the other to use on longer hair dogs). The side with the small teeth (although I can not really see or feel that there are teeth there) really does nothing. I have to use the long tooth side of both dogs to help with the de-shedding process.

My dogs have short coats but very thick and they shed a ton. I was worried about this being too rough for them but it's amazing! It's not sharp, just has tiny metal teeth that get all the loose fur out of their undercoat. I couldn't believe how much fur it got out, and my dogs absolutely love being brushed with it! Will definitely but another when this one wears out.

Pulls it doesn't hold it

So as you would expect this does pull out quite a bit of the undercoat from your dog. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold onto it so as you are using it it's going everywhere

So as you would expect this does pull out quite a bit of the undercoat from your dog. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold onto it so as you are using it it's going everywhere unlike a conventional brush. My recommendation would be to use it either outside or in an area where you don't mind it piling up or you're close to a trashcan.
