Description

JW Pet Gripsoft Slicker Brush comes equipped with a rubber-sheathed handle design, which offers extreme comfortability and precision. This Gripsoft technology features non-slip grips which are made to optimize comfort and control while grooming your furry friend. The complete Gripsoft line offers a variety of designs specifically made to address each of your pet's needs to ensure a beautifully soft and shiny coat.

Metal teeth in two different lengths lift shedding hair from the undercoat and loosen lightly matted portions of fur. The teeth are turned 90 degrees away from the skin keeping them parallel to the skin to prevent "raking" the skin and make grooming more comfortable for your dog.

    Best grooming brush

    By on

This brush was recommended to us by our professional groomer. We immediately purchased one to keep our Standard Poodle looking salon fresh. The brush keeps his hair mat free and so fluffy!

    Pins are too hard

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I've bought several JW brushes years ago, both small and large, and hard and soft pin, and I love them all. I can't find my hard pin large brush, so I bought this one. It has much harder pins than my last one. I can't even get it through my poodles' hair. They like to be brushed, but they tried to get away when I used this hard pin brush on them. I won't use it on them anymore. They would rather have the soft pin brush. I'm sure this one would work well on other types of haircoat, but not on my wiry poodles' hair.

    Sturdy Brush

    By on

Great brush. My only wish is that I would have bought a self cleaning one due to the short close bristles. The head size gets the job done, but still fits in small joint areas. I have a 110lb Rottweiler and a 70 mix. Works great on both!

Works great on her super long hair... we love it!!

    By on

I wasn't sure it would work great with her long coat. The handle seems small to the actual bristle area. But, it did work great! Bella has 3 layers of fur and it works great without snagging and hurting her.

    Slicker Brush

    By on

This slicker brush works great on my Yorkie and Biewer Terrier. Less pulling of the hair and removes the matted areas nicely with out pain.

    Awkward Angles

    By on

Love Chewy and JW but I am finding the design of this brush to be flawed. Because of the angle i am only able to get the part closest to the handle to make contact when brushing. That or palm the brush making the handle obsolete and the tool uncomfortable to use. Not a fan

    It is a good brush

    By on

This is a good brush for Poodles, and any medium or long haired dog or cat. I have tried many brands and this is my favorite.

    Added to my collection

Just started using slicker brush. Had smaller one that my daughter uses on her cats. Used that one when our big boy was puppy and he hated it, so wasn't sure this one would be excepted by him, but was necessary to get under coat groomed. So far his allowing it so hopefully will be effective tool in our grooming arsenal. It does the job very well and use it with my furmagator rake. We have two great pyrenees so grooming is essential. Unfortunately our boy has severe skin allergies and I 'm forced to trim his coat shorter so we can treat his skin. We've struggled for years trying to get a handle on this issue and we're told by breeders not to trim these type of dog it messes-up the coat texture Just started using slicker brush. Great for Golden

    By on

I love this slicker. It does a very nice job on my Golden's coat very smooth brushing . The hair gathers nicely in the brush it doesn't fall out and very easy to remove as well. The brush size and brush head is big but if you have a large dog it covers a nice large area. The handle has a nice grip as well and doesn't leave my hands and shoulders as sore as with other brushes I have used.
