My dog had the Neater Feeder and she hated it. We later found out it was because she is sensitive to any sound and disliked metal bowls (maybe because of the noise or the material, not totally sure), and she didn’t like having her vision obscured. This raised feeder is great for several reasons: she can see around her, which she likes; the company includes foam tape which lines the inside rim of the wood (so the bowls fit snugly inside- no shifting or the bowls or sound); and the rubber feet that stick on the underside of the wood (again, no shifting on wood floors, very stable), makes this a very solid, silent, and safe choice. One thing to note: the wood is not walnut as pictured, and it seems like the cut parts of the wood (eg inside round cuts, and bottom cuts of the bent wood) were left untreated so it’s possible the wood would warp over time if those areas got wet (like from a dog drinking and splashing water all over their eating area). Since I check the area several times a day, I’m not too worried about the untreated wood getting wet over time. I paid full fee for this item, and I’m happy with it.
