Not A Good Supplement For Dogs Allergic To Chicken

I received this supplement powder to use with my almost 12 yr old Bichon mix. The ingredients sound great but I noticed that it contains chicken & my dog is allergic

I received this supplement powder to use with my almost 12 yr old Bichon mix. The ingredients sound great but I noticed that it contains chicken & my dog is allergic to chicken so not a good supplement for her. I did however try it out before I knew that it contained chicken but she did not seem to like it in her food-dry or in gravy form. She is a small 15 lb dog & doesn’t eat very much so I thought the amount of powder required to use/serving was a bit much. As far as how it affected her mobility, I guess we didn’t use it long enough to notice a difference. I think I will give it another try when my other dog becomes a Senior.

Good but...

I like this product and I am starting to see some promising results in my old guy. He's been more spry lately and has been hopping up on the couch without assistance

I like this product and I am starting to see some promising results in my old guy. He's been more spry lately and has been hopping up on the couch without assistance or jumping off furniture without pausing and grunting. My issue is the taste. I had to bribe my dog to eat with this powder in his food. He hated it. When mixed into a gravy, he was initially hesitant, but now will eat it with no issue. But now our much younger dog and also our cat love the gravy and won't stay out of his bowl. Our senior dog doesn't love the taste as a gravy but he tolerates it and I'll continue to give it to him if we keep seeing positive results.

I chose this product for our almost 14 year old pug mix Zooky. He had been on a different supplement for quite a few years and suddenly started to refuse to eat

I chose this product for our almost 14 year old pug mix Zooky. He had been on a different supplement for quite a few years and suddenly started to refuse to eat his supper when it was added. I stopped giving him anything like that because he was so put off by it and he has always been a chow hound since we adopted him at 5 months old. Since then he has been suffering with constipation and terrible bloating in relation to his neurological condition and some days he cannot walk around without a lot of assistance and his gut is affected by the pain and swelling in his spine. When I started this supplement the day we received it I did as suggested and gave him half the suggested amount and then he had a couple little accidents which were normal but he didn’t get a chance to ask for help or get towards the door. After that I cut it back a little bit and now he goes normal and every day. He seems to be feeling a little bit better although it is really early on. But that is a wonderful benefit for him to feel better in his belly. And he loves the taste!

My dog is getting older so I'm always looking for things that will make her last years more comfortable. I tried the K9Power Young at Heart Nutritional Senior Dog Supplement and was pleased. She liked it and didn't seem to notice it when I added it to her kibble. It's too soon to tell how much it really helps but so far so good. There aren't any instructions printed on the bag. It's kind of annoying to have to go to a website to look up how much to feed her.

We have a 12 1/2 yr old dog, who had been slowing down and had lost interest in most activity. He spent the day lying around sleeping. Since we've been feeding him the K9 Power Young At Heart supplement he is able and willing to move more. He doesn’t seem to be as stiff as before, and is taking longer walks than he has in a while. The supplement is easy to use, we just sprinkle over the food. There is an option for adding water to make gravy, but we haven’t tried that - Pete likes it dry. This supplement is an easy and convenient way to help your dog stay active!

We're happy that K9 Power YAH has probiotics and prebiotics to support gut health. Having healthy 'gravy' also makes her meals more enjoyable. I wasn’t pleased with this product at all. I have both small dogs and giant dogs. The dose/serving size of 3.5 scoops for the giant dogs means an incredible amount

I wasn’t pleased with this product at all. I have both small dogs and giant dogs. The dose/serving size of 3.5 scoops for the giant dogs means an incredible amount of powder added to their food. I mixed it in with wet food, but seemed excessive to me and obviously the product doesn’t last long with 7 scoops for just the giant dogs daily. All dogs did consume it with out issue.
