Does this backpack accommodate a dog with a long tail? Does it have a tail hole?

K9 Sport Sack bags do not have a tail hole because of how dangerous it is to put the tail at risk. Dogs typically wrap their tail around their bum and are comfortable doing so.

Great concept, but Luna had other plans. She wasn’t a fan and tried to make a quick escape. Excellent quality overall, just depends on the dog’s personality.

Comfortable for me and my 25lb pup. She use to love our outdoor adventures when she was young but hasn’t been able to keep up in the last few years so sadly has had to stay home. Now, with this pack, she can join me again- hiking as far as she wants and then riding in the pack for the rest. We just did a road trip and I hiked with her in Lake Tahoe, CA; Park City, UT; and Steamboat, CO. She felt secure and there were enough pockets for the essential hiking supplies.

They are facing forward, seeing what you see and do. We have been allowed just about everywhere as the pup is in a backpack, not walking around. We would not have it any other way!

Breathable and a good hip strap for support

I bought this item so I could take my dog on longer hikes with me. She has arthritis in her knees and has a hard time going uphill. This backpack gives me the freedom

I bought this item so I could take my dog on longer hikes with me. She has arthritis in her knees and has a hard time going uphill. This backpack gives me the freedom to take her with and load her on my back when she starts to get tired. My only issue was that she is in between sizes, I went for the larger size and just had to put a light weighted block inside so she could fit more comfortably on my back.

Unbearably uncomfortable

Unfortunately I had to return this dog backpack. It is terribly uncomfortable for the human! I think the dog part is made very well but the shoulder straps are

Unfortunately I had to return this dog backpack. It is terribly uncomfortable for the human! I think the dog part is made very well but the shoulder straps are too close together, not at all ergonomic, and dig into the neck. There is also not enough padding. My dog only weighs 27 lbs but there is no way I could carry him in this. I wish it was made like a well made backpacking back pack, I would love to have this work for me.

Perfect fit for my 25 pound dog. The first time using it, I walked around for a few hours with no discomfort to my back, and I've had back surgery. The comfort was due to the great design and construction. The strap around my waist lifted the weight off my lower back. The dog is very secure as well, very strong zipper and several straps to hold her in place.

The space between the shoulder straps has about an inch to fit your whole neck. It’s impossibly uncomfortable. I didn’t even bother putting the dog in. It was painful

Our previous backpack sat too high on my back no matter how I adjusted it. The higher price on this backpack is well worth the comfort while hiking. It is also more breathable than other packs for my dog. Sizing took a bit of effort but I have a mix and she is long for her size.
