is there a weight limit?

The Large backpack is recommended for pets weighing up to 60 pounds, the X-Large is recommended for pets weighing up to 70 pounds and the XX-Large is recommended for pets weighing up to 80 pounds.

is the dog sitting on your back "piggy back" style?

The front paws of your dog will go through the arm holes and their back legs inside the backpack. Your dog should be able to see over your shoulders and rest paws there as well. The backpack includes lumbar support straps to ensure your dog's comfort.

How does this work with a tail? Is it comfortable for dogs with tails?

The carrier is designed to have enough room for the tail to be enclosed in the carrier. The bag was not designed with a port for the tail due to it being a hazard for getting hurt and safety is a top concern.

Def not worth the cost

NOT a good fit for my Corgi and was missing the extra pack. The hydration baldder pipe cannot fit through the hole. Packed with fails IMO.

Dog is hiking again!

My dog loves to ride in the pack when she gets too tired. She has hip dysplasia and had a stroke that affected her back leg. The back works great as intended but

I was really disappointed when I received this and realized it was too tall despite the adjustable shoulder harness. The average woman in the U.S. is 5'4", and I am 5'3" with a relatively short torso. The frame hit me in the back of the head, and if my dog were going to ride in it he would have to put his paws on the top of my head. Really frustrating and disappointing that this won't work for so many of us who are of relatively average height.

This bag is well-made and seemed very sturdy, and it had nice pockets too. I ordered the size that should have fit my dog according to the measurements, but we were unable to zip it up. She's pretty fluffy so you may want to take extra floof into account when ordering. I will say it is pretty difficult to get a large dog into this unless you can get them to lay down exactly aligned with the bag and not move a muscle. I was under the impression that the bag fully unzipped so I could then roll her into it like a burrito, but the zipper only goes partway down. This bag probably works best with smaller, more portable dogs.

NOT FOR MY DOG

I have a 40 lbs Husky. My dog would not even want to go inside. I spent 30 minutes trying to get her in. Once she's inside, she's uncomfortable, and she wants out

I have a 40 lbs Husky. My dog would not even want to go inside. I spent 30 minutes trying to get her in. Once she's inside, she's uncomfortable, and she wants out. There's no mechanism to prevent her from getting out, and she could easily torn the inside. The only thing I liked about this transaction is that delivery was fast.
