How do you measure for sizing?

This backpack is designed for dogs ranging from 4-40 pounds. To choose the correct size, measure the length from the collar to the base of the tail. The X-Small is for dogs with a length measuring 10-13 inches, the Small is for dogs with a length measuring 13-17 inches, the Medium is for dogs with a length measuring 17-20 inches, and the Large is for dogs with a length measuring 20-23 inches. For breeds with a wider chest girth, it is beneficial to go up a size and add a Booster Block to make up for the additional space in length.

Sizing is wrong, poor attention to detail

I bought this backpack based on the sizing on the website and looking at the tag attached to the outside of the bag which said size medium was suitable for dogs

I bought this backpack based on the sizing on the website and looking at the tag attached to the outside of the bag which said size medium was suitable for dogs 17-20 inches from base of tail to collar. I have managed to get my dog into the bag but it was extremely tight and uncomfortable for him, and he didn't like it. After taking a second look at the bag I realized there's a big discrepancy between different tags on the bag in regard to sizing. The inside tag explicitly says the medium size is for dogs measuring 10-13 inches from the base of tail to the collar. That's literally a 7 inch difference from the advertised sizing on the large paper tag attached to the bag. The bag itself is nicely made and attractive as well, but this lack of attention to detail on the company's part is so disappointing. How did no one catch this giant error when printing the tag and also failed to issue a correction on their website and vendor websites? I'm going to be reselling this bag but overall super disappointed with the sizing info.

Holds the weight, but not the girth

I have a 35lb 7 year old pug who has the body of a bulldog. He’s built bigger than most pugs not in weight but in muscle and size, and I’ve been looking for something like this for years that could actually hold his weight. He absolutely LOVES adventures and hikes but as he is a flat faced breed, he overheats pretty quickly and although he wants to continue on the journey, his body needs to rest. This is the hopeful solution to force him into a break so he can calm down. The shipping was extremely fast and arrived on time, the quality and style is amazing HOWEVER, while it feels like it holds his weight, it is very tight on him. The length was perfect for the “large” but his overall girth made it near impossible to close. He has enough neck and arm room to where I don’t feel like I’m abusing him, and for a complete first time try he didn’t get scared (he normally does) and seemed immediately at ease once completely in it. I just wish there was more room because it is very tight, and it makes me nervous that it may cause the seams to rip or break down faster. Although there are “vents” on the sides, due to how tight this is on him and how thick the material is, I do think it’s possible he can overheat ESPECIALLY when he’s already over-heating. So just be mindful. This is a perfect concept and execution I just don’t think they take all sizing aspects into accountability. I wish there was an XL option for more room as I’d easily place a block at the bottom for length where I can’t easily let the seams out for girth room. I’m also 99% sure it’s not going to fit when he has his harness on and that is depressing, because I tested it with him naked lol.

I really wanted to like this - seemed like a great design, especially with the molle straps. I bought the large pack thinking it would work for our dog. We have a 35 lb English Cocker Spaniel, and while I could finally zip it up, it was very tight. Then I tried to put it on - I am an average size 5’8” man and this was clearly not made for a man at all. The “waist belt” (1” webbing straps with a buckle) sat a full 6 inches above my waist, right below my ribs. It seems well made, but the sizing for the dog is inaccurate and it is made for a woman to wear - or a small man.

I have an older wire fox terrier that is very nimble & weighs just over 20lbs. He has often sat on my shoulders but it gets awkward after a while & I'm not gonna push him in stroller. I chose this pack because it was honesty just more attractive than others on the market. And it is very stylish. However it barely fits my dog & I ordered the "large" for dogs up to 40lbs thinking it would be roomy. It also seems to make him overheat within just 20mins. So not breathable & definitely not recommended for dogs over 25lbs. I'll keep it to use on various outings, but buyer beware if your pup is over 20lbs.

This bag is beautiful but definitely order a size up, unless you have a slimmer dog. My pitt/staffy mix was too thick for hers that we bought by spine length, so we just ordered up. I love the color (green) and I love that this can be used as a regular bag, as well as a carrier. It seems very practical, and we can’t wait to use it on bike rides!

It's a solid backpack. The quality is there! My dog does not like it at all which is a shame. He either stands in it and it's fine, or finally sits and the top of the bag leans back a bit. It also takes a bit of effort to get him into it. He tries to turn while inside which seems dangerous given his arms are through the arm holes. I looked at him through the mirror and he did not seem comfortable. I am going to return this and try a chest carrier instead. As a backpack this is excellent quality. I am debating keeping it just as a backpack, but I already have some backpacks I can repurpose and don't know if I want to spend a bill for a very beautiful one.
