It is a solid, compressed block made from grains. Not easily crumbled but not hard as a salt lick.

is the amount of copper in this product safe for goats?

The Goat Mineral Block contains a minimum Copper content of 1,450 ppm and a maximum Copper content of 1,850 ppm. This product has been formulated to serve as a supplement only, not a source of complete feed. Selenium intake should not exceed 0.7 mg per head daily. Due to the added copper, do not feed to sheep.

First order 10 stars, 2nd order not so much

I bought this goat block a few weeks ago and my goats went ballistic over it! I was like wow, 6 goats fighting over the same block. It was fresh, smelled great,

I bought this goat block a few weeks ago and my goats went ballistic over it! I was like wow, 6 goats fighting over the same block. It was fresh, smelled great, you could see pieces of grain in it, and they loved it. I could not believe how fast they went through it. So I ordered 2 more. The package just came and I hauled them down to the barn. As I cut off the packaging I noticed that it looked extremely different, and did not have the same smell as the other. It smelled old, musty and no grain pieces. I also noticed they both had what looks like white mold around the bottom, I scraped off what I could of that and put them out anyway. My goats walked up to them, sniffed them, looked at me and walked away. I would have to agree with them, it looked like somebody dug out from the back warehouse old blocks that had been sitting around for years. So now I'm stuck with 2 blocks and out $72. I'm very disappointed in the 2nd round order, and don't even know what to do with them other than throw them out. I seriously can't recommend this product at this time. Not consistent so you won't know what your getting. I've tried to post this review 3 times and I keep getting a Chewy error that they have encountered an unknown error on their end. I guess if it's not 5 stars you can't leave a review!

The on the far left of this picture is Fling. She’s a real critic of minerals. So far this is the only brand she likes besides her favorite loose mineral brand

The on the far left of this picture is Fling. She’s a real critic of minerals. So far this is the only brand she likes besides her favorite loose mineral brand. They all have enjoyed the block. They lick it and chew it and are definitely getting the minerals and vitamins. Fling loves it so I love it!
