Is this food the same as FirstMate? If not, how do they differ?

Both Kasiks and Firstmate are form the same manufacturer. Both varieties use only the highest quality ingredients to create lines of grain friendly, grain free and canned pet food. Firstmate includes limited ingredient formulas, ideal for everyday feeding or for those with food sensitivities. Kasis formulas can be fed along side one of their dry options or on its own as a complete and balanced formula.

Does this recipe contain any naturally occurring Chondroitin or Glucosamine ? If so, how many milligrams of each per can?

There is a small amount of naturally occurring glucosamine and chondroitin in KASIKS canned formulas, however the amount has not been tested.

This was exactly what I was looking for for my dogs with skin issues. They love it and its easy for them to eat. My older dog inhales his food and the consistency

This was exactly what I was looking for for my dogs with skin issues. They love it and its easy for them to eat. My older dog inhales his food and the consistency of this food isn't too thick and has enough moisture that I don't have to add water to thin it out. I've only had 1 issue with a box missing a can but I called Chewy and their customer service was excellent! Even though it wasn't their fault they credited my account and let me know they would be informing Kasiks about the problem. The person that helped me was very nice, apologized, and thanked me for letting them know. Thank you Chewy!

Salmon only food

horrible odor

I ordered both the cat and dog formulas. The cat formula was fine, however the dog formula had a rancid smell. I discarded the case.

great for canned food

My dog is getting old. In case he starts losing teeth i wanted to add a canned food gradually to his kibble. Since he's on an all seafood diet it had to be seafood

My dog is getting old. In case he starts losing teeth i wanted to add a canned food gradually to his kibble. Since he's on an all seafood diet it had to be seafood. This salmon formula is great--very moist and doesn't get hard and dry in the can. I only give him a heaping tablespoon which i mix in with his kibble and he loves it. Just had his teeth cleaned (he's 16) by a canine dentist and fortunately his teeth are still good.

Stinky but dogs LOVE it :)

The Salmon is fishy stinky but my dogs LOVE it. I've been using the Salmon Kasiks for years and have never had a bad can. It's always consistent in texture and quality
