Expensive but so worth it. I alternate this with a more reasonable lamb and rice mix for 1/2 can and 1 cup kibble 2x a day. My 70# pup is a fantastically healthy pup. (who shares this once in a while with his cat cousin)
My maltipoo loves this food so it makes feeding time easy!
I haven't fully moved over to Kasiks salmon yet, but I am going to try. I've been putting it around the edge of my dog's food bowl, and she ADORES it. I also like to make pupsicles for my dog using it. I freeze it in little plastic containers and she licks on them after walks to coooool down. Yes, it's a little stinky, but I love stinky fish, so it doesn't bother me a bit.
I would get this again, I usually give about once every 2 weeks, it does tend towards slightly looser stool however it does seem high quality and worth it once in a while.
Love this product for my dogs. Chicken great too. I add to dry food and dogs think it’s a treat.
My Husky —who normally loves fish products, did NOT care for this at all. He sniffed it and walked away :( My border collie Pyrenees puppy who normally eats everything didn’t bother eating this either so I have 11 cans available if anyone wants them. It’s yours for free. Just a note —it looks more like a pate. I was expecting salmon chunks or at least flakes of salmon. Anyway the only positives that I like about this product are the ingredients. It’s so simple. No guar gums or agar agar. Just salmon and the broth.
My dog loves both the salmon, and the turkey, wouldn’t buy any other food
I’m very pleased with my recent purchase of the Kasiks Salmon Formula. I am always researching new and better products for my fur baby. I believe I have finally accomplished my goal, my Miniature Schnauzer came with the likely issue of having skin allergies. So right off I began the process of elimination of grain products, then dairy, and finally Limited Ingredient. She has been responding quite well, but something was missing. She was getting bored with the Turkey and Lamb. So began the fish research. I came up with the Kasiks Salmon product as my choice. It is a very clean and vitalism product, all necessary ingredients for skin and hair coat quality. She loves the taste and licks her bowl clean. It has an excellent consistency and low fishy odor. Highly pleased and definitely recommended.
The texture is very watery and runny like it has basically been watered down. The dogs eat it but not happy with the quality for the price.
Our English Bulldog is not what I would call a fussy eater (ha ha!!) but she does have definite likes and dislikes and boy, does she love this food! We have tried other brands of salmon which she ate with varying levels of enthusiasm but she inhales the Kasiks. Because of food sensitivities, salmon is great for her and, unlike some other brands, the Kasiks has a complete formula but not a lot of other food ingredients which works well for her.
