Will this fit 2 chinchillas? or is it too small?

It is recommended to have a minimum of 2 square feet of floor space per adult Chinchilla. This home measures 24 x 24 x 41.5 inches and might be to small for two adult Chinchillas.

is this fine for 2 - 3 female adult rats?

This cage is not suitable for a rat. It has bar spacing of 1 inch, which is too large to safely contain a rat. In general, it is recommended to house a single rat in a cage no smaller than 29 x 15 x 18 inches, with a bar spacing of 1/2 inch at most.

Would this cage be safe for a Syrian hamster?

This habitat would not be suitable for a hamster because the bar spacing is 1 inch. A hamster needs 1/2 inch and small hamsters need 1/4 inch bar spacing.

This habitat would not be safe for a guinea pig, as they should mainly have a flat, long cage. We also carry the Kaytee Deluxe 2-Level Guinea Pig Cage that may be of interest.

Great size!

I love this cage I got it for my two rats. The only issue was it's a little difficult to get the together. They're too small for it right now but they play in it

Kaytee Habitat

Bought this for my ferret and it worked amazingly for what I needed at the time. She now has more friends so something bigger was needed.

Very spacious

Liked it a lot as far as space for the ferrets but the problem comes with the slide. It's not very secure and will not hold the weight of the ferrets. It keeps disconnecting

Liked it a lot as far as space for the ferrets but the problem comes with the slide. It's not very secure and will not hold the weight of the ferrets. It keeps disconnecting from the hole casing. Very disappointed. Also the ladder is too long to use.

Unsafe for Ferrets

The spacing offthe wires is too wide. A ferrets head can easily go through and possibly get stuck. The metal is very cheap on the sides and is easy for the ferret

The spacing offthe wires is too wide. A ferrets head can easily go through and possibly get stuck. The metal is very cheap on the sides and is easy for the ferret to escape. The plastic parts are cheap and easily break. The plastic shelves bend in the middle with an average sized ferret standing on it. The slide is not sturdy enough for an adult ferret. Good size but cheaply and unsafely made. I did not buy this on Chewy, I am just giving a review here to warn other ferret owners.

Ferrets can escape

The bar spacing in the cage is to wide, my ferret is easily able to escape out of it, however that is not the only way he can escape, he can also shake his cage

Wouldn't buy this again

Wires are flimsy the tubing and tunnels broke apart during assembly. Followed the directions and the green tabs just broke off . Can use your pinky finger to move

Wires are flimsy the tubing and tunnels broke apart during assembly. Followed the directions and the green tabs just broke off . Can use your pinky finger to move the wire sides .. ferret escaped after not even 5 minutes in the cage . I contacted cs and sent photos ans videos of what was happening, was told to print label and mail it back they would issue refund once received. I advised that I don't have a printer and don't leave my house generally an was then told they would mail me a return label. Been over a week still haven't received it. At a loss at what happened here it's usually not like that with Chewy

There’s not a lot of good points to clip on hanging hammocks or toys, and the doors are a bit harder to open. Don’t get this cage for anything younger than a full grown rat, my two girls can stick their whole head between the bar. Boys wouldn’t have enough space in this cage as my girls seem to run out of stuff to do quite quickly. I needed a cage that would suffice their space needs quickly and with a budget and this did the trick. Included a photo in comparison to critter nation

Cage too Small

I bought this cage for my ferret, as it was advertised as such. He got too big for both slides and was unable to use them. One of the ramps never was able to snap

I bought this cage for my ferret, as it was advertised as such. He got too big for both slides and was unable to use them. One of the ramps never was able to snap together no matter what I did and it isn't suitable for hanging any hammocks as he would frequently fall off of his. Rule of thumb: Never buy Kaytee products. They are always poor quality.
