Would this cage be large enough for two guinea pigs?

For 2 guinea pigs, generally a 30 x 36 inches cage would be a ideal size, however the bigger the better. This habitat measures 42 x 18 x 19 inches.

Would I be able to open the top to clean? Or may be lift the whole wire part of the cage? I have a hedgehog and have to clean the wheel every day.

Had to return

I'm writing first to say about the cage I would've gave it less stars then 4 but I gave more stars cause of the excellent customer service I received from chewy

I'm writing first to say about the cage I would've gave it less stars then 4 but I gave more stars cause of the excellent customer service I received from chewy when I had to return the cage cause the ramp won't snap + stay on the platform my guinea pig is small so i couldn't keep the cage afraid he'd try jump on platform and get hurt without ramp coming down a lot of pieces are plastic so won't last long cause the hay feeder broke the next day just trying to put hay in it the part in the front where it's all wired its very thin wire so it would probably break in time where the door is getting your pet out I'm going have to find another cage just save your money chewy is awesome standing by their guarantee they are definitely my shop to order my dog's food, stuff from + some guinea pig things too

do not buy. cage is listed at wrong measurement

Cage is measured at 42x18x19. Therefore when I bought the cage it was bigger than expected. Chewy said they would send me a return label but has failed to do so

good for single guinea pig

My guinea pig loves this cage. He is a bigger male and enjoys the space. I was even able to put a medium size tube/tunnel in there for him. Most websites recommend

My guinea pig loves this cage. He is a bigger male and enjoys the space. I was even able to put a medium size tube/tunnel in there for him. Most websites recommend a bigger cage than the ones commonly found at pet stores because guinea pigs need room to play. And I really liked this one. My guinea enjoys jumping up to the 2nd level and eating his Timothy hay there from the hay loft provided. The 2nd level is bigger than the picture looks. The bowl that comes with the cage is too big for my guinea so I just got a small one for his hay pellets. This cage is alittle expensive but worth the happiness and health of my guinea. my last guinea lived for 5 years so having a good cage that will last is important to me.
