I decided to give these seed cakes a try to keep my squirrels entertained and away from the bird feeders. They’re designed for a feeder station, but I didn’t have one, so I attached it to my corn cob holder instead. It worked just fine, though a small piece broke off when I was putting it on. The squirrels didn’t mind one bit — they found it quickly and keep coming back for more. I like that the cake is a good size and holds together well, at least in dry weather. We haven’t had any rain yet, so I’m not sure how it will hold up then, but so far it’s doing great. Overall, I’m happy with it. It’s an easy way to give the squirrels their own treat while keeping the bird feeders just for the birds.
