Feeding Instructions
Feed Sentinel Care BrightLife to adult horses at a rate of ¼ - ½ pound (3/4 – 1 ½ rounded cups) per head per day. For growing foals feed ¼ pound (3/4 rounded cup) per head per day. Feeding ½ pound to adult horses will provide optimal levels of NutriVantage, Prebiotics, Postbiotics, 20 mg of Biotin and 1,000 IU of Vitamin E.
We recommend in most cases, you slowly transition your animal when changing to a Blue Seal product or even between Kent/Blue Seal products. This allows the animal's digestive tract to properly adjust to the feed. To help with the transition, we recommend slowly mixing the new Blue Seal product in with your current feed and then gradually increase over the course of one-two week to 100% of the new Kent/Blue Seal product.

This feed is amazing. I have a couple hard keepers who occasionally refuse their grain and supplements. The addition of this has encouraged them to consume their necessary meds consistently. My horses all readily eat this alone, as a top dress, or mixed with other feed. With the stresses of changing weather, I am happy to have this in the feed room. It has made a big difference. Before this I tried crushed cookies, electrolytes, diced apples; nothing worked until I added this to the feed. Now I can guarantee my hard keepers will eat their supplements and meds. Game changer. It is a small pellet. The distinct smells of soybean and molasses are the only two ingredients that I detect right off the bat. It’s a pleasant smell, not overpowering.

This product is a bit confusing. The pellets are large like a normal feed type size pellet. The amount you need to feed seem to make it seem to me like it should be a ration balancer and not a supplement, but it says supplement on the bag. The rate of feed is 1/4 to 1/2 lb per head per day. I have Welsh ponies and they pretty much will eat most things. Out of 9 ponies, only 1 would even take a bite. They were immediately put off by the smell, which is pretty strong. I didn’t find it to be offenaive but apparently it did not appeal to them. For me, I would rather feed a ration balancer than add this product to a feed program.

My 35 yo, Quarter Horse gelding, Doc, wasn't crazy about this supplement. I liked the ingredients listed in the Kent/Blue Seal Sentinel Care BrightLife feed but, after several weeks of mixing it in with Doc's feed, he stopped eating all together. I took a break from adding this supplement to his feed and he went back to eating and acting like himself.

I've only had this for about 3 weeks so it's hard to say there are results. However, my horse does eat it. I mix it in her feed in the morning and there is never any left behind. It is a smaller pellet so it blends in well. This time of the year is important to keep up their immune system and I believe this is working. I board my horse so it's important to keep her healthy as so many come down with runny noses and other issues. I would recommend but i would like to mention, my mare isn't too picky of an eater, especially with grain.

We selected this product because we have donkeys and cows with health concerns and thought this feed could be an enhancement to their current feed. The feed was recommended for immune system support during stressful situations and this seemed just what we were looking for. The donkeys ate the feed eagerly but our cow recovering from surgery did not seem to like it. However, this could be related to her overall not feeling well and not related to the feed at all. The texture of the feed was excellent with no dust which we appreciate since it means no waste and little risk of contamination for my daughter who has Celiac disease.
After a day older horse liked it, gave him energy

My 17 year old horse approved. I added it to his grain during the cold days and it seemed to help him retain energy! I noticed he was extra hyper after consuming this supplement for a few days. Love a happy horse. My horse isn't picky but he did seem to take a day to be okay with the flavor of this. Usually he dives right in but I noticed he wasn't so sure about it the first day. After that he seemed fine with it so it must have a strong flavor or taste.

Not the most palatable pellets. I have 3 horses that could use a boost with their immune system. Although one of my horses dislikes the taste entirely the other two make more of an effort to eat the Sentinel Care BrightLife Horse feed. It is both U.S. sourced & U.S. made, the size of the pellets seem to be just right but the flavor is slightly off according to Sedona (she normally will eat anything).

I fed this to my performance horsr tondtart bulking him up in preoaration for show season. Nuttition wise infeel gr did well on it but he did seem to grt fairly warm on this grain. It might be better suited for a cold winter and not so much an enhancement grain. My horse did seem to likr it and the dust was low in it.

I worked in pet shops over 40 years ago when Blue Seal came out and I have always thought it was a good brand and high quality food. Testimony that they are still here tells me that the company is quality.
