Perfect for its Purpose - for less desirable birds

This seed blend is exactly what I wanted: something less expensive that will keep the house sparrows, grackles and mourning doves away from my primary feeder that I stock with safflower seed only. Cardinals, White Throated sparrow, house finches and other song birds like the safflower seeds, but the "riff raff" birds don't. Pretty Juncos like both. I have a feeder with nyjer seed for finches and an upside down for suet blocks which seems successful with woodpeckers and too difficult for others. It's not perfect, but fairly successful.

Not a good mix

This mix of seeds is mainly cracked pieces of corn and millet. I decided to purchase it because it came in a 40 Lb bag. However, I am finding a lot of uneaten seeds

This mix of seeds is mainly cracked pieces of corn and millet. I decided to purchase it because it came in a 40 Lb bag. However, I am finding a lot of uneaten seeds on the ground underneath the feeder. The birds simply don’t like it. I have had to mix it with other mixes of wild bird seed just to use it up. I don’t want to throw it out, but Will not buy this brand again.
