Feeding Instructions
For all horses and ponies: .11 lbs of Perfect Balance™ per 100 lbs of bodyweight. An 1100 lb horse would be fed 1.1 lbs of Perfect Balance™ per day.
Any dietary changes should be made gradually over a minimum of 7 days. Always provide fresh, clean water. Combine with forage/fiber totaling 1.5%-2% of the horses bodyweight daily. Feeding rates above are a guide only.

We have 2 recipient mares who spent a huge chunk of their lives having embryos implanted in them from expensive show horses. These mares lived hard lives and were not always well cared for. They now live in retirement with us, but the abuses and neglect at times, of those years has had a toll on their bodies. They are thin and it’s a constant concern to keep weight on them especially during cold winters. The feed had a chemical smell and I was worried that our picky girls would not eat it. I was wrong. We started them on Keyflow Perfect Balance by adding about 3 cups to grain twice a day. We used it as a supplement with their regular grain. It is high in fat and low in sugar and starch. They put on weigh in their flank and rib area and one mare added weight to her top line. It was also a great option for an aging gelding who needed calories without sugar. Keyflow Perfect Balance was easy to increase and decrease to fit individual horse needs.

Added this as a topper to my 35-year-old mini stallion who needs a few more calories but not necessarily more sugar. Unfortunately, he didn't like it and refused to eat the rest of the food it was mixed into, so we didn't get through the bag. I tried what was left with my 22-year-old quarter horse gelding who can get a little spicy with too much sugar. It didn't seem to affect him, so I think it will work for him going forward

We raise various types of equine - specifically miniatures - on our farm and are constantly researching feeds that may benefit our “babies!” When I ran across Perfect Balance and noted that it was low in sugar, low in starch and high in fat, I knew it was going to be perfect for some of our light workers. Working with miniature equine, you’re always worrying about insulin-resistant minis that still need the added nutrients without all of the extras and this most definitely fits the bill. The omega 3 oils have given shiner coats and the protein has kept energy levels up! We’re thrilled with this balancer, highly recommend it and will continue to use it on our farm.

I was very excited about this product until I received it. Unfortunately, my horse does not care for it and won't eat it. It is small in size and easy to mix with
I was very excited about this product until I received it. Unfortunately, my horse does not care for it and won't eat it. It is small in size and easy to mix with supplements. But it does have a very strong smell that overpowered my tack room when I opened the bag. It does not smell like the other grains I have fed in the past so it's a no from my barn. Perhaps another formula from this line is better suited for us, I will be selecting a different one and see if that is a better fit.

The horses wanted in the bag before it was open! Once opened they wanted to eat it alone but especially liked it mixed with their regular grains and supplements

Balanced grain
This was a good maintenace grain for my horse. He sometimes struggles to keep his weight up so having a good balanced grain is key to his nutrition. I like this
