How long does it take to soak before you can feed it?

This feed mashes up in about 1 minute. It is not recommended to soak for hours since it is very quick. It is best to use warm or cold water, not hot water to avoid killing the live yeast.

Helps gain weight, but you have to mix it with something

None of my horses would eat this alone, but I mixed it with molasses and a little high fiber grain and it made them gain weight like crazy! Everything between young

None of my horses would eat this alone, but I mixed it with molasses and a little high fiber grain and it made them gain weight like crazy! Everything between young TB and older horse in their 30s. So I like it as a weight gainer but yeah you can’t use it alone.

I purchased the Pink Mash in the hope that it would be palatable enough to tempt my horse to start eating his supplements again after a period of refusing any kind

I purchased the Pink Mash in the hope that it would be palatable enough to tempt my horse to start eating his supplements again after a period of refusing any kind of bucket feed due to gastro issues. He is on a forage only diet, so the supplements are especially important. I started out by giving him just the Pink Mash for a few days and then very gradually sneaking in the supplements. He is up to a full ration now and nickers when he sees the bucket instead of walking away! This product was a life saver!

Freedom is my 24 year old gelding and he has a thyroid tumor that is slowly making it harder for him to swallow coarse feeds. The pink mash has been a literal life saver for him! It is actually pink once you soak it, which I find so appealing. It’s super easy for him to swallow which has allowed him to keep from loosing weight so rapidly. It also has all the nutrients he needs to help him stay healthy as long as he can.

I wasn’t familiar with this brand, so wasn’t really sure what to expect… The horses all seem to love it! I really like the fact that after adding the water, it can be ready in a few as five minutes, but that you have the flexibility to wait up to two hours before serving. It’s important to me to know that it has low starch and sugar, and that it also has omega-3’s along with probiotics and probiotics. It’s also nice that it has so much highly digestible fiber. The great thing is you only need to feed around a pound to get all the nutritional value. With so many feeds, you need to give 4 to 5 pounds per day to get all the probiotics and probiotics…
