Birchwood Manor Outdoor Unheated Kitty Home | 18 x 16 x 15 inches |
Bought this house for an outside cat. This house was easy to assemble and made with good thick wood. Very sturdy. Comes with a soft pad for kitty to rest on. The cat still has not gone inside it. :( Maybe there's a smell he doesn't like? Hope he eventually likes it.
The edge of the woods are very sharp. It cut me and my kids. Not a safe product.
I purchased this for a stray cat that returned to my yard and has decided to visit often. She's older and extremely skittish and I wanted her to have a safe place that was off the ground. I had previously tried leaving blankets out but she wouldn't use them. She was cautious and It took almost a week for her to go inside but now I find her inside it almost daily. The house was easy to put together. The only slight problem I had was that it was to hard to insert the screws by hand and I ended up using a power drill. Other than that it maybe took ten minutes to put together and it looks really sturdy. The house also comes with a pad for the cat to lay on and the door flaps adhere with Velcro making taking them on and off easy.
This house looks good on my porch and does what I wanted it to do. My 10 lb Tabby was hesitant at first but I put my tee shirt that I had worn in it and he went right in! He seems very comfortable in it. He mostly goes in it when it rains or is cold.
This house is covered with veneer. Rain causes it to begin peeling around the edges when it dries out. I thought this was the case when I received it but. I took a chance that I might be wrong in my assumption. I bought 2 of these. I'll repair the damaged edges and maybe give them to my local SPCA to use inside. My cats didn't go into them anyway.
Cute house, perfect size for my 10 lb. female kitty who likes to go out during the day. I had to introduce it to her and put her own bed in before she finally went in -- but now she loves it! Her little head is always popping out to see what's going on, and she likes smaller spaces that give her security. Easy to assemble, my husband added four wooden feet to raise it off our front porch for more protection from cold and water. It also comes with a nice floor pad that adds extra insulation.
I have two of these and it’s the perfect size to keep ferals warm , very well built and easy to put together
This cat house is well built and super simple to put together! I highly recommend it!!
Had to build it but it was cute once it was put together and worth it.
This house is very attractive, smartly designed and snug. It's large enough for the adult male cat it is intended for and it's smugness, I hope, will retain his heat in winter along with accompanying pad and any small blanket I may add. I didn't care for any item made of plastic or held together with Velcro that was also offered , and this wooden shelter was easy to assemble because the pieces locked together and only needed a Phillips head screw to finish the job. I don't expect cleaning to be difficult, and will add a weather proof clear coating
