I have the large bed and purchased this canopy in size large to fit the large bed. It fits, but it comes down so low that my 60lb. dog can barely squeeze in under the opening to get on the bed. It's not going to work for her. It doesn't look like the photo, where the dog has plenty of room. It comes down too low and so she doesn't want to use it. When in it, she cannot see out because it's so low. Without the canopy, she loves the bed. Also, the rods are super flimsy. I do not see this canopy holding up in any sort of wind or weather.
I am so silly for not reading the fine print to understand that the BED IS SEPARATE and this is the CANOPY ONLY! I wish that had been clearer, but that’s on me for not triple checking I guess. Seems like decent quality. I’ll have to buy the bed now which sucks.
I bought the cot and the canopy. Assembly was easy. I am a seamstress and saw the casings in the corners of the cots. After assembling the canopy per the instructions, I took off the support rods and reinserted them through the casings in the corners. Huge difference, the support rods do not move out of place now.
The canopy and bed are great so far and exactly as advertised. My only gripes with the canopy is that it would be vastly improved with simple clips to attach it to the "tent poles" which would also benefit from a collapsible style most modern tents use. For now I simply attached the corner bungies while the canopy rests tightly over the poles instead of awkwardly guiding the poles through the guide pockets, and plan on putting metal eyelets in the guide pockets for easier use asap. Also a basic carrying bag that attaches to the underside of the bed would be nice for when used indoors. I camp most weekends and this bed is going to be my dog's dedicated bed indoors and packed for camping each weekend.
The canopy provides a decent amount of shade, but it makes the entrance onto the bed a little short. If you have a dog that doesn’t like confined spaces, it may not work for them. My dog tolerates it but we usually take it off if it’s not too hot outside.
We purchased the canopy & cot for our Florida vacation. It is easy to set up & take down; mesh bottom of cot is a great feature for drying wet fur & keeping the pup cool! This product is pup approved!
It was super easy to put together, and it looks cute, but the opening is not as big as the picture, and my dog would not go under it to lay on the bed too.
My dogs love the canopy, especially when it starts raining when they wait for me to let them in. However, they chewed the bungee cords that keep the canopy down and attached to the cot. Needs a more durable solution or something to sheath them
Canopy works great to provide some shade. Packer loves laying outside so this provides him a bit of protection from the intense Florida sunshine
I have had the cot and canopy for years finally needed a replacement canopy. My 2 dogs use it separately and individually. They just look at us until it is brought out once the weather is nice. Highly recommend.
