Can outdoor cats use this to lay on for cooling?

I would like to use this in a carrier on an airline. How easy is the water to add. Could it be done in an airport bathroom after getting through security. Can the water be emptied so I could get through security on the flight home?

The K&H Pet Products Coolin' Pet Pad Dog Mat only has to be filled with water one time as it will never dry out.

Is the inside also anti microbial? I question how it doesn’t become moldy inside after awhile.

Only the exterior of this cooling mat has antimicrobial properties. The interior of this mat is comprised of a non-toxic cooling gel.

She even managed to chew the tab off the plug during that time. It was only water that drained out so no damage to anything, but it really is not dog proofed.

Expected More Cooling Effect

I was hoping this cooling mat would help cool my dogs down during hot days after hiking, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations. It also needs a lot of water

I was hoping this cooling mat would help cool my dogs down during hot days after hiking, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations. It also needs a lot of water to fill out completely which can get super heavy. And my dogs don’t like the water bed feeling, so it’s not very helpful. It might work better in an air-conditioned room, but on its own, it’s just not very cooling. Disappointed overall.
