Warm days call for the cooling comfort of the K&H Pet Products Coolin' Pet Pad Dog Mat. The water-filled pad is practically magic, working to wick the heat right out of your dog’s body and then dissipating it into thin air. And what makes it even “cooler” is that you only have to fill it one time! Unlike other pads, it will never dry out, so your pet can always count on it being the squishiest, coolest spot in the house. The outer material is mold and mildew resistant, with durable seams that hold up to active dogs. Use it alone, on the go or on top of their existing pet bed!
Water-filled pad keeps your pet cool on warm summer days by wicking heat from the body.
Innovative design never dries out; just add water one time for reliable, cooling comfort.
Antibacterial exterior resists mold and mildew with durable seams that hold up.
Lightweight design is great for in the home or on the go. Easily spot cleans with a damp cloth.
Great for dogs prone to overheating to help avoid heat stress. Use alone or on top of their bed.
These pads must be cleaned by hand and should NOT be placed in the washing machine.
Place the Coolin' Pet Pad on wood, tile, or other hard surface. Note that carpet holds the heat from the pad, which can make it hard for the heat to dissipate.
It goes wherever you do because it never requires refrigeration.

You have to fill this with water and when you are finished it is so heavy that you can't move it. So we took out some of the water so we could move it. None of the dogs would walk on it because it was like walking on a water bed and I have 3 blind hospice dogs and they were like "what is this". So I put it on the front porch for my cat and she wouldn't have anything to do with it. So I emptied the water and it has set for over a week and it is still wet inside. So I bet if I put it in storage for next year it would be full of mildew and stink. Not a good choice for us.
Keeps dog cool for awhile
on Aug 2, 2021
My dog loves this. We live in the desert and it gets very hot. The problem is that I have to keep adding cold water to it. It does work but maybe because it gets so hot here it only keeps her cool for at the most a hour. I keep bottles of cold water in the fridge to fill it with and she recognizes the bottle and gets excited. I wouldn't recommend it though because in my case it uses to much water and we're in a drought.
Don't plan to move it

I read good reviews about this product and bought two (one for each dog) for them to lie on in the kitchen after walks on hot days. I filled one not quite half-way with water. Neither dog wanted anything to do with it. So I thought about filling it more, but the water made it too heavy to even pick up. If you have a place for it to stay put, and your dogs take to it, it's probably a good product, but it just didn't work in my situation.

Today was the hottest day we have had so far this year. I had not used this cooling mat yet, so got it out of the box and set it up for my dog.....and it LEAKS. What a waste of my money. I am very disappointed and feel cheated . My dog has very thick fur and I wanted to keep her comfortable this summer, but it would ruin my rugs and hardwood using it. Bought another brand in the past and it didn't hold up well or seem to keep my dog cool., so gave this brand a try. Frustrating that so far I have not been able to find a good way to keep my dog comfortable when temperatures soar. Do not recommend. Again.....Very disappointed. Would give it 0 stars for the leak but this site requires a ratingToday was the hottest day we have had so far this year. Should help in the summertime
on Jul 2, 2021
This cooling pad seems okay. Not super thick material which is concerning because dogs nails aren’t kind to thin plastic. I filled it with two gallons of water and that seems to be the right amount for now. Training our dog to use it presently and he seems open to it. As we do more training, I might add some additional water to make it a little more cushy. It’s pretty much a dog waterbed pad.

I was very disappointed to find out that this was nothing but a big bladder of plastic. The small flat opening is difficult to use to fill it. When filled, it is very heavy -- too heavy for me to lift it and move it around.
My dogs were not interested either; even in hot weather, they preferred the tile floor.
Great summer solution
on Jul 12, 2021
We live in an un-airconditioned apartment and this mat has been a lifesaver this summer! The mat fills with water so there are no worries about toxic gels being eaten accidentally, and re-cooling is a breeze because we just refill it with water. Mat stays cool for an hour or so.
Not Great :(
on Jun 8, 2021
I bought this and at first it worked really well, it stayed cool and didn’t leak and seemed like a great product. Not even a month after using it and I noticed it no longer is cool. The mat feels like just room temperature. I changed out the water in it which seemed to help but it went right back t room temp only a few hours later. I wish I hadn’t wasted my money and now I’ll be having to purchase another one from a different brand.
Worked until dog found plug
on Jul 11, 2021
Dog loved this mat, but is a teething puppy. He found the plug and chewed through it! I recommend for dogs that are not chewers!! The bed was on our hardwood and slowly leaked. Luckily we found it later the same day.
durable dog water bed
on May 30, 2021
My one-year-old cocker is a “nester”, and worried about it being punctured; but this far, it has stood up against constant scratching. The material is quite thick. It’s a water bed for dogs, and it gets heavy.
After 4 days of straight heat, I chose to change out the water (bathtub /old towel) to keep it coolest. But for all of the pain in the butt it is, it outcools and stays cool longer than any competitor tried for 4x the price.
