This is going to take a while. Olly isn't too adventurous and has only managed the first tier. I'm hoping that with time he will be more comfortable with it. Blankets and toy mice are in. Time will tell.
My cat loved this thing but whatever is used for the actual shelf part of it (like some sort of thick cardboard?) ended up breaking so it had a permanent dip in the top where she loved to lay. She is 12 pounds and would climb up to the top and then the top section snapped one day. So I wish the inserts were sturdier. Picture attached of me showing where it broke on one side of the top section
I used to have a tall tube tower for my cats, but it got worn and was a bear to move. This 5 tier tower is super lightweight and very well built- it even has a way to replace the supports should you ever need it. Installation on a door is a breeze, though I plan on using washers and screws to mount it on my wall (no door near the bird viewing window). You may need to chock the door if it remains open to keep the door from swinging with active cat use. Mine love it! One look and my friend ordered a smaller unit for her cats.
Both of our furry babies well love this condo. My only criticism is due to my cat's sizes as they jump and throw themselves into the apartment. I have had to readjust once as they had moved the condo across the door frame.
Good cat tree substitute. My cat (age 12) has made it clear that she needs a stool to help her up into the 3 story condo. She can't really figure out how to jump in from the bottom. (skill issue?) The straps do not let you adjust the position to lower it. Aside from that, this is exactly what she needed to get a missing high vantage point in my apartment. It had a strong plastic oil smell for the first 3 days but the smell is gone now.
Kitties love! It was easy to set up and they love running up and down it and especially laying on the top! I will say that it can potentially be louder against the door than excepted if your cats shoot up and down it at night, have not had any issues with too loud of noise tho and hasnt woken any family members.
I'm pleased with the hanging condo, better yet my fur baby Bellow is pleased with it. The only down sides to it are, it's a bit noisy when the cat uses it and I wish the bottom of it was closer to the floor
Our cats loves this and have been it it since I put it on our door. It only took about 3 min to put up and all I had to do was put the door hangers on and slip on the cat condo and pull the strap tight. Best purchase so far!!
My kitten likes it. I just wish the straps to hold it up was adjustable.
I was worried about cardboard being listed in the materials but my cat is about 11.5-12 lbs and it seems to be holding up fine. I hope it lasts a long time. She absolutely loves it and it's great to have a lightweight and collapsible alternative to traditional cat trees. She can get up away from the dog and enjoys the tall comfy perch. I was a little confused at first because the little logo tag on it is upside down but if that's the only problem then I'm happy with it. I like that the lower levels are also mostly enclosed so if she's not at the top she still has a barrier between her and the dog, which she enjoys whenever the dog annoys her too much.
