We have automatic waterers on our stock tanks. Can these be used and left plugged in to run the waterer in the winter?
Answer by • Aug 16, 2017
It is recommended to disconnect from the permanent water supply when not in use, and the double-walled design with solid brass couplings will last for years to come. It’s perfect for use around the house and the farm!
can you leave the heater on after you disconnect from faucet
Answer by • Sep 01, 2018
You can leave your Thermo-Hose plugged in all winter long. The thermostat will turn the hose off when ambient air temperatures rise above freezing. Only hook up to water source when in immediate use. Immediately after use, unhook from water source.
Is the hose lead free?
Answer by • Dec 03, 2019
This hose is lead free.
What happens if you forget and leave it connected to the water source? Will it damage something?
Answer by • Mar 04, 2019
The hose must be disconnected after each use so that it does not freeze at the connection point.
Ordered 2 hoses. My husband didn't think one of them was working right and we were going to return it, but he decided to keep it anyways. Very please with how the one is working. Well next door ran out of water and we have the hose connected to our well. With the cold weather so far this hose had been working with no problem. We have been down in the 20s at night.

Leaks from coupling
So disappointed. Hose leaked from coupling straight out of the box. Expensive to not work.

Don't Buy, Doesn't Work
I was so excited to get this, but SO disappointed when I tried to use it. First, it takes longer than 20 minutes to thaw. More like 4 hours. Second, the first 5 inches of hose where it attaches to the faucet is NOT heated. You have to make sure you situate the hose so it's hanging down and draining after you disconnect it. And finally, even if you drain it, water still seeps from it and forms a frozen plug. So frustrating.

Doesn’t work
Works horribly. On a 35 degree day, left plugged in for an hour and still not defrosted enough to get water through. Not worth it! I do not at all recommend.

Hose didn't work for long
I had the hose for less than a month. I used it twice and it stopped working. I am very bummed. I was awesome for the two weeks it worked.

Quality Control appears to be non-existent
My thermo hose leaked from the coupling immediately...Right over the electrical wiring!!!
This leaky unit is rated NO STARS!!...Though the site requires at least one star
I'm going to return mine and see if a replacement unit is any better

Hose busted and flooded my barn after 1 winter of use. Started freezing (while plugged in) before it broke.
Great product? Worked fine before!

Cool idea but not well made
My thermo hose leaked from the coupling immediately. It would be useless in winter with all that water coming out. Not well made so I returned it.
