This platform feeder is a good size & holds a lot of seeds. The recycled plastic is thick & sturdy & the mesh bottom provides good drainage. The squirrels have chewed the wooden one this replaced. It comes ready to use. My only thought is that the legs fold easily &, while the feeder has stayed off the ground so far, it might be a good idea if they had a mechanism to lock or hold the legs in place. Very pleased with this item.
