Kismet Nugs (Treats)- These treats, made with real beef and sweet potatoes, immediately caught my attention; especially since I have a Yorkie with a sensitive stomach and a Doodle with food allergies. The moment I opened the bag, my Yorkie practically declared war on the Doodle for a chance at the first nugget. That’s how I knew these were a hit! They’re officially Yorkie and Doodle approved. I also appreciate the size, just right for both pups. I’ve included a photo next to a dime for scale. The 1 oz. bag contains roughly two generous handfuls of treats, making them a convenient reward size for multi-dog households. Kismet Salmon & Brown Rice Recipe- This food combines medium-sized kibble with freeze-dried beef and sweet potato nuggets. It looks fresh, has a consistent texture, and I’ve included a photo next to a dime for size reference. Upon opening the bag, there was a noticeable fishy smell, but it certainly didn’t put off my pups. I’m typically cautious about introducing new diets since both dogs have sensitivities, but they genuinely enjoyed this one; and got excited every time they heard the bag rustle. Clear feeding guidelines printed on the packaging were a big plus. This product gave me peace of mind and brought a lot of tail wags at mealtime.

The kibble sizes are about the size of a dime with slightly larger cubes mixed in. I have a smaller dog (about 20 lbs) and he manages them just fine. He really seems to like the taste. The ingredients are listed on the bag with the first few all being protein. Very few “fillers” are listed. I would absolutely recommend this product.

Great variety for everyday meals

I love the variety of kibble with the freeze dried pieces. I get concerned that my dogs get bored with the same kibble eveyday and this gives them a little assortment

I love the variety of kibble with the freeze dried pieces. I get concerned that my dogs get bored with the same kibble eveyday and this gives them a little assortment. Protein and fiber content are good and the smell of salmon is not overpowering at all. The freeze dried treats are also great, low odor and dry so I can put them in my pocket for walks without issue.

I love the name. The packaging is colorful and fun. The smell, though, is a bit intense. We had it in our front entryway for less than a day and I could easily smell it wafting in the air. My almost 3 year old black lab was excited about the treats. He didn't enjoy the freeze dried texture at first and spit it out. He eventually carefully ate it and proceeded to scarf the remainder of the treats up in one serving (which was okay due to his body weight). The food, however, was not a hit. Our pup was excited to try it, but upon eating it, really just slow played the entire meal (which normally if he loves something it will be scarfed up instantaneously). So the food was "meh"- he didn't hate it, but he didn't love it.

My pups like this food and had no issues with eating it. The dehydrated nubs seem to be their favorite part. I would have given it a five start rating but I have two critiques: #1 offer a low fat option. After digging around on their website I found that it has a higher fat content than my guys can eat - they need to stay at or below 11% and Kismet is at about 16%. #2 make the bag resealable. Keeping the bag closed with a chip clip doesn’t work really well. Higher end food should have a higher end bag closing system

Woof, Woof, Woof, means Yes, Yes, Yes for all three of my pups. All three literally inhaled their dinners of Kismet Salmon & Brown Rice dog food with Freeze-Dried Nuggets. Besides the obvious nutrition, both large and small dogs were well aware that by adding the nuggets, they were getting a treat along with their meals. Our picky eater and sensitive stomachs made it clear that they were satisfied and ready for romps in the yard as they vocalized woof, woof, woof.
