This is the best bird travel carrier on the market. I was so very impressed with this. It's exceptional quality for starters; which is most important. Nothing was overlooked. There are two perches including. A holder for food. Which has zero sharp edges. Not always the case. A water conditioner which fits on the side; clever. The bottom where your birdie goes poop has a grate that you clean, then beneath it is the tray. Then you receive a carrier case. The handle is very sturdy, as well as the strap to hold your little friend. What I was also impressed with is the step by step instructions were in plain English. They explained exactly how to put your carrier together. Not always the case with other merchants. I have a Moon Cheek Conure and he is small. I believe a Pionus would also be comfortable. But nothing larger than that size bird. Purchased a cheaper from a different company; not Chewy and returned. You get what you pay for. Again, so glad I have this.

My 2 parakeets recently traveled over 800 miles, and spent a total of 4 days in this travel cage! They seemed to enjoy it and it took up very little space in the car, hanging from a headrest against the back of the seat. My only gripe is that there’s no way to remove the tray to clean without completely opening the cage, risking escape.
