We received Kona chicken stew high protein to use for our 10+ chocolate lab (68#). We live in Wisconsin with two dogs a one cat. Product was well marked and made in the USA. She had been having some issues due to her age and hind leg surgeries. She is normally fed dry senior food. Thought this would be a good addition to her food and some was mixed with her dry food. Unfortunately she didn’t tolerate it probably due to her age and ailments. It would be a good food for a dog without any issues. Chewy is our go to supplier for all our pets needs. Someone is always available for help either via a chat online or by phone.

My dogs absolutely loved this chicken stew! It’s got high quality healthy ingredients and it’s very simple, the smell of it kinda reminded me of a canned soup not dog food. My standard poodle especially looked forward to this meal like it’s dessert and jumped with excitement, not something she typically does so I highly recommend Koha Chicken stew.

My dog is one of those “hunger strike “ dogs. She goes through phases of not eating her regular food so I have to order her fancy stuff on occasion to get her to eat. She is a Dane so she tends to lose weight quickly and easily. This was the canned food I decided to try this time and let me tell you she GOBBLED it up. Her stomach tends to be sensitive as well but this did not mess it up one bit. I definitely plan on purchasing again.

I use the canned food as an "add in" with their normal dog food to provide variety and various nutrients. The first 4 ingredients are chicken, chicken broth, vegetable broth and chicken liver - all recognizable and it's made in the USA. My dogs love the taste and it didn't give them any loose stool (again, I feed it as an add in and not the entire meal) or upset stomach and one of my rescues is a doodle that is sensitive to everything. The only thing I caution (and the subtraction of 1 star) is that it is a grain-free food and I know there has been concern over a grain-free diet for dogs that don't necessarily need it. For this, definitely consult your veterinarian. I'm not too concerned as I typically split a can over 6 meals.

KOHA Minimal Ingredient Chicken Stew for Dogs, High Protein Limited Ingredient Dog Food, is a well developed food. While my dog gets dry food I do like to have something on hand for special occasions or if needed or to entice a poorly feeling dog. No trouble getting him to try it. The fact that the ingredients are well thought out and quality make me rethink not him canned food. Great product!!!I
