Really Need to feed the whole can in one sitting
I use Kona food as an enticement for other food and my dog Sawyer loves the limited ingredient stews. I thought I’d give this one a try, as he gets bored easily
I use Kona food as an enticement for other food and my dog Sawyer loves the limited ingredient stews. I thought I’d give this one a try, as he gets bored easily. He didn’t like it at all until I got to the bottom and realized “the shreds” were at the bottom and the gravy was at the top. So, if you aren’t using the whole can and have a picky pup this may not be the one for you BUT the limited ingredient stews are a huge hit for my picky pup.

I like that it's a complete food, so I can swap it in without worrying if they're missing something, and the pumpkin is a bonus. The texture is pretty loose but has plenty of beef. Our picky princess is a fan of the chicken shreds, so I had high hopes for the beef shreds. She ended up needing extra hydration and ate the shreds with added water for a few days in a row. (This isn't a given; she refuses a lot!). Our old dude had surgery in the same week and was thrilled to get this food instead of kibble! Youngest also appreciated the bonus shreds - take a look at his expression when he smelled the bowl!

I tried the pure shreds beef wet dog food with my dog. It smelled like human food & my dog gobbled it up. It does make a nice topper on her hard kibble dog food

I don't generally feed her canned dog food, but wanted to give this a try. She loved it! It is quite runny when you first open the can. I did not use the full can in one meal, so when I put it in the fridge, it gelled up & was firmer. The food looks good too. Based on how well my dog liked the food & how it smelled & looked, I would recommend it to others.

Talk about quality! This dog food looks like people food. The food is made of real shredded chicken and beef, tender veggies, in a juicy broth. It seriously looks like something I cooked up on the stove and not something I poured from a can. My dogs love it. I top their kibble with a couple spoonfuls of this and even my picky catahoula mix gobbles up his food. I only deducted a star because I received the “chicken and beef shreds” instead of the “beef shreds” I ordered.

I have 3 very picky Russian Toys. I decided to try the KOHA pure Shreds Shredded Beef Entree. When I opened the can it smelled like homemade beef roast! All three of my girls ate it and wanted more! They are very small dogs and can't eat big chunks of food. The shreds are very tender and digestible and they loved the broth. I would definitely recommend this food for dogs that are hard to please!

The dogs like the taste, it has good quality ingredients, and that’s what I care about. The biggest issue we’ve had is keeping the cats from sticking their heads in the bowl to snag bites while the dogs are eating.
