KOHA Pure Shreds dog food looks like a hearty stew! I got this with my big dog in mind, but I knew when I opened it that my little dog would want to try it as well. They both immediately lapped it right up! Since they are both senior dogs, I wasn’t sure if they would be picky about it, since they are used to their usual foods. Neither one even hesitated before digging in. Since it has a lot of broth, it would be perfect as a topper for dry food or just straight from the can.
Good ad in for kibble, too thin for exclusive feed

This is canned wet food with shreds in gravy. I tested this brand out with my two dogs, Nova (weimar/lab) and Nebula (mastiff mix) and they enjoyed it. It is quite heavy on the gravy so it was a good mixer with their kibble but I cannot see feeding them exclusively this wet food based on the ratio of gravy to shreds. The picture on the can makes it seem like there is more bulk but it is a lot of liquid (see pictures). That said, my girls love having things mixed into their regular kibble and this fit the bill.

My senior dog has always had a sensitive stomach, and it’s been a challenge finding a food that doesn’t upset him but still excites him at mealtime. KOHA Pure Shreds
My senior dog has always had a sensitive stomach, and it’s been a challenge finding a food that doesn’t upset him but still excites him at mealtime. KOHA Pure Shreds Duck Entrée has checked off both of those boxes for us. I love that it’s made with only one animal protein, so I don’t have to worry about hidden ingredients that might cause stomach issues. The shredded texture is perfect—my picky eater actually looks forward to his meals and cleans his bowl every time! Even though it’s low in fat, it’s still full of flavor, and I feel good knowing it’s packed with nutritious superfoods like pumpkin, carrots, and spinach for digestive and immune support. Plus, it’s free from fillers like peas, corn, or soy, which gives me peace of mind. For any pet parent with a sensitive or senior pup, I highly recommend giving this food a try. It’s nutritious, gentle on the tummy, and my dog absolutely loves it!

Water is on a raw diet and he has been on raw his whole life for 12 years. We rotate different proteins with exception to chicken, which he cannot have. Occasionally, it is nice to have a different food as a treat for him, or just for some variety. I gave him this at night before bed and he absolutely love this food! It looks like real food, it’s shreds of meat and vegetables. He had No problems digesting this and I am confident giving him this as needed, for variety, and a special treat.

I have multiple dogs and every single one enjoyed this food. That's already a huge plus in my eyes, especially when my more elderly dogs, who have gotten picky in their old age, gobbled it down! One: The cans have a pop top. This is a small thing, and a lot of dog foods do have this feature, but it matters to me so I am going to list it. Two: It does NOT have a strong odor. This is another bonus to me. There is still an odor, but it is not strong, nor is it pungent. Three: It is a bit goopy. I think that's the best word for it. There is a lot of thick broth with it, essentially. This is both a bonus and a negative. I used this as a topper, so I like that it has this feature, as it means it soaks the food beneath. However, if you're feeding this alone, it is something to note. Overall, I actually really liked this food. I like the shreds - none too huge, no chunks, etc. I think canned dog food in general are sorely lacking shreds, so I was happy to find this one. I also think it made eating it easier on my older dogs with teeth issues, which again, goes back to being a huge bonus. Anything that entices my older guys to eat and is easy for them to consume is a huge win!
Dogs Love It!

I have three Aussies, ages 14 weeks, 18 months, and 3 years. The oldest has a sensitive stomach, so I have to be careful about what I feed her. I’ve been using this food as a topper and mixing it with their regular dry food, and all three of them love it! Also a bonus that it doesn’t seem to upset anyone’s sensitive stomach.
Nice size and can opener, but dog had GI issues.
I love the size of the cans and the easy snap and pull opener. However, I have to say that my Goldendoodle’s stomach did not agree with KOHA’s Shredded Duck formula
I love the size of the cans and the easy snap and pull opener. However, I have to say that my Goldendoodle’s stomach did not agree with KOHA’s Shredded Duck formula. He does have a Chicken Allergy and loves Beef but I tried to change it up a bit and try the Duck. He got severe diarrhea. I would love to give KOHA another shot and try their Beef or Turkey formula in the future.
