Will this work for a 6.5 hexagon shape gallon fish tank? I have one but it didn't come with the AC adapter for the hood in order to work the lights.

Can anyone tell me why there are two different plugs shown in this picture? I actually use an android charger with a power supply for a cell phone and it works just fine.

Excellent Product

I have been using one of these on the first Koller aquarium I purchased at least three years ago. Initially I used the battery option but it was eating me out of house and home as they constantly had to be replaced. This power adapter is simply perfect and appears to have a long life. I will be setting up my second aquarium using the one I just purchased.

It works just fine.

I just needed 4.5 volts DC it had nothing to do with an aquarium. The Transformer actually puts out 7 volts DC but it turned out fine for my application.

Sure does beat using batteries

I do not know why this manufacture did not include this power cord to run the light on this fish tank but if you buy this tank you will want this. I bought rechargeable batteries but even that was a pain bc I had to change the batteries every day!
