are these grain free? and what is the hard outside part made of?

This product contains ground wheat, which is a grain, and is hence not grain-free. The treat over all is made from ground wheat, gelatinized wheat starch, chicken meal, glycerin, dextrose, poultry fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), propylene glycol, natural poultry flavor, wheat protein isolate, oat fiber, salt, potassium chloride, lecithin, sorbic acid (a preservative), iron oxide, parsley flakes, rosemary powder, and nutmeg powder.

The 0.6 oz bag and 7 oz bag are size Small and fit Small KONGS. The 8 oz bag is Large size and fit Medium/Large KONGS.
