The laser has a tab on the back that covers the batteries. Simply remove and insert the batteries.
Can the laser in the toy hurt my cats eyes?

Although it is not recommended that you point the laser beam directly into your cat’s eyes, if you accidentally cross their eyes while moving the laser it should be unharmed.
What size batteries does this take and are they replaceable?

not worth it

I’ve bought a ton of Kong toys. First one to disappoint. Broke on the first use. Isn’t worth the money. Once the wire gets kinked it’s all over. Don’t even buy this. They shouldn’t be selling this. KONG shouldn’t have put there name on this. Highly disappointed!!!

Worked for two weeks

It died after two weeks. Replaced batteries and still does not work. Use it as a regular wand toy, now. No way to replace bulb on tip.

Broke off of wand

The wire broke off of wand. Will not light up anymore, had it for a day and it snapped off while kitty was playing with it. Too boring without light for kitty to play with it.

BREAKS EASILY

THE WAND ITSELF THE CATS LIKE TO PLAY WITH. THE LASER WIRES, DETATCH FROM THE WAND AND THEN THE LASER STOPS WORKING. WE HAD TWO OF THESES, AND BOTH LASERS STOP WORKING, AND YOU CAN FEEL WHERE THE WIRES TO THE LASERS ARE DETATCHED. LASER DOES NOT LAST !!

Broken upon arrival

It literally broke 5 seconds after arriving laser stopped working and cojld not get to work again very disappointing from kong.

Laser Cat Toy

My 115 lbs. Boxer dog loves it more than the cats. Jumps and hops all over the place trying to catch the dot.

does not work that well

the batteries in this toy were either no good because I had to keep taking them out and putting them back in, then it just quit working all together. I haven't tried new batteries yet because this size is expensive. so, it would be a great toy if it worked.
