Is destructible
We have a young dog, just over a year, 22 pounds. She got ahold of this leash and nearly chew all the way through the handle. We taped it up and kept using it, the reflective lead is great! Today, she pulled so hard to chase a rabbit when the lead was locked that she broke the lock off completely and pulled it out of my hand to run off. We got her back, but I did hope this leash was stronger.
Hard to use
I was excited about this leash because it gets dark SO EARLY and I love the idea of it being reflective. Unfortunately, it is also very difficult to use. The button you push to release, etc., get stuck very easily.
Usually a great brand, but
This leash broke after only three uses with my forty pound dog.
locked after 4 months of use
worked great, had no issues. then my dog peed on part of it, so I locked it in place with about 2-3 feet of give so I could clean it when we got home and it wouldn't roll up and get pee on the rest of the leash. Well, got it home, cleaned it up, pressed the button to unlock and... nothing. It's not like it got stuck when my dog was lunging or pressure was being applied - I was being really gentle with a washcloth. I'm going to try Flexi now. Kong was quite a bit cheaper but not worth it. Chewy was really helpful in resolving this - truly the best customer service - they are 5/5 stars.
chewed through in seconds
It took our dogs seconds to chew through this lead, complete waste of money.
It locked up
About 6 weeks after using this retractable leash it locked up. I've tried to take it apart to see what the problem was but it's totally sealed even though I was able to find 2 screws to take out. Its worthless the way it is.
Disappointing
Not even 2 months and it already broke. It won't lock or retract anymore. So frustrating.
Durable material
My dog is stout n is very strong. And this leash is awesome. He is now allowed to go out a little ways or farther. I will be in control of him.
HOLDS up FOR MY BULLDOG
THIS PRODUCT seems to be well made. it holds up to all the pulling my dog dishes out. Anything lighter he breaks it. it could be a little longer though.
Sturdy Design w/reflective tape
This Kong leash is sharp looking and easy to operate. You can let the dog walk out 16 feet or stay close by with the handle lock. The bright yellow leash color stands out in shady area as well as at night. Love it!
