The Best Tether

Good quality as you’d expect from KONG. I returned a lesser quality one. This is the tether you want! Don’t mess with the safety of your canine friend.

Dog tether for car

The quality of this item is good, for me the clip that attaches to my dog is too large and heavy.

Poor design

I have a few other of these dog seat belts from a different maker and they have a stretchy section so there is a little give and also if your dog does circles in the back seat kinda like dancing around due to happy excited dog then he does not get tangled or binded up. So the elastic is a must. The Kong seat belt has no stretch or elastic in it so it just twists in a knot and my little buddy Ranger is stuck with his head all the way to the belt buckel where it clicks in and he can't move. I do not recommend this product because of those reasons. Your dog needs to be able to move around so he can lay down if he wants too but this seat belt does not allow that.

Lasted just a week

I do not have an agressive dog; just a 9 month old 30 lb puppy. She chewed threw it within a week. Unfortnately, I had not noticed until it was too late.

Good for Well Trained Dogs

I bought this for my senior dog when we moved 6+ hours away to a more populated city. I wanted to know that in the event of an accident, he'd be ok. I understand the concerns other people have with this product, but for a dog that rides well in the car anyway it suit my needs perfectly. We recently got another dog and I've been using this with him as well in the car. I do agree it's a little long, so it gives him far too much freedom in the front seat. In the backseat it allows them to look out the window and move around a little bit. Tightened all the way, it keeps them seated or laying down which I like for my senior dog as he has trouble standing when the vehicle is moving. Both dogs are around 50 lbs. and I feel it's plenty sturdy enough to walk them out to the car using this.

Clip belt in you seat belt faster. Keeps dogs from jumping all I over car.

Not as good as you think

It seems well made but it has a few issues. The seat belt end is narrow and I had trouble with getting the seatbelt to accept it. It also needs a swivel my dog kept twisting it up. Lastly, if it's a kong product I expect it to be heavy-duty, it took fewer than 15minuets to chew it in half.

Great Tether for Havenease

This is the 2nd tether I have purchased. I drove 2 Havenease pups to the groomer and this was such a better option than crating!

Kong is the BEST!

This dog tether locks into the seatbelt holder, it is adjustable in length, works well for restraining my dog in the backseat for safety. I saw a German made one for over $100 and this works very well for $12

Strong but Not Perfect

This is actually a decent product. It’s strong and fit into the seat belt mechanism in my car. However, if your dog is an escape artist like mine is, then understand that they may step on the seatbelt release and get free (like mine did, repeatedly). I think this is good for dogs that don’t move around a lot in the first place and that you just want to keep secure for road trips, but unless you have a seat belt mechanism that clicks in on the top, I would suggest you try something else to secure your pet. This did not work for our dog which is why I only gave it 3 stars.
