Not a good idea
If your dog is a chewer and destroyer, this toy is not good. My pup tore it up, swallowed it and then I almost end at the ER. Lucky he was able to pass it. I threw it away.
This Is Chew Love
My puppy loves this toy! Falls asleep with it...sometimes share/play with his sister. His big boy teeth are coming in and I think this helps with that chew satisfaction.

I would not recommend this. It took a couple of days for my puppy to get ropes apart and shredded.
My dog loves it
My foster dog who was from a shelter, had just learned to play tug of war with a tree limb. When I showed this toy to her, she immediately grabbed it to play tug of war. I use it at designated play times and she is always eager to see it.
They LOVE it!
I have 2 pitties who ADORE tug of war. Whether they are playing with it together or it's the two if them against me it has held up great! I love the width of the rope design, easy for me to grab and hold on to. Definite buy for your tug of war collection

My dog's favorite!
My daughter-in-law manages a dog supply store. A Kong rep brought in 3 promo toys in this series. She gave me this one for my 2 year old Dutch Shepherd. That was over a year ago and he still hasn't destroyed it. I have been unable to find these anywhere and am so relieved that Chewy has them! I will be stocking up (things get discontinued) so he always has one for the rest of his life! I am now ordering the KONG Signature Rope Double Tug in this series to put on his bungee. I will review it once he's had time to rough it up. My daughter-in-law has the Signature Rope Mega Dual Knot from this series for her 3 year old pit and it has held up just as well so I'm realistically hopeful.
not for chewers
I bought this Kong tug rope toy for my 6-year-old lab and 1-year-old pit to play with together. They are always trying to play tug of war with whatever toy they can find. I was hoping that the thickness and size of the ropes would last since my girls are very tough chewers but unfortunately it did not. Some of the ropes started to rip and once that happened the dogs were tearing off pieces of the strings that made up the rope. I no longer let them play with it and will toss it out. Because my girls are tough chewers I feel like they are limited when it comes to toys because there are only a few types of materials that will actually hold up for them. I was really hoping this would have been one.
DIDN'T LAST A DAY
On the surface, this toy looks and feels sturdy. Unfortunately, it didn't last a day before my two pugs destroyed it. It came apart and the pugs managed to start eating the threads.
