Comically poor design

Given this is the "sport" version, why in the world are there large swaths that are gapped or black? Why is the belly a black pleather material better suited for

Given this is the "sport" version, why in the world are there large swaths that are gapped or black? Why is the belly a black pleather material better suited for clubbing than roaming in the woods? Why oh why is there so much darn black velcro that hides ticks, attracts everything in nature to instantly lose stick, and makes dog and human alike deal with the uncomfortable sound every time it's put on and taken off? This one looked better in the photos. After trying 5ish blaze orange vests, this is by far the worst one.
