Is it okay for my dog to chew up the whole antler?

I have an 8 month old heavy chewer. is this ok for a puppy?

This is suitable for dogs over 6 months old and under 40 pounds.

What are the dimensions on the two different sizes? It's great that two sizes are offered, but I still don't know which size I would need because no dimensions are provided.

The Small/Medium measures 12 inches long x 3.8 inches wide x 1.8 inches high. The Large/X-Large measures 14 inches wide x 5.5 inches wide x 2 inches high.

Enjoyed it while it lasted

My Lab enjoys chewing and this toy was no exception. First he gnawed through the rope holding the elk antler. Then he started working on the antler itself. After

My Lab enjoys chewing and this toy was no exception. First he gnawed through the rope holding the elk antler. Then he started working on the antler itself. After a couple of sessions of working on the antler, it started to splinter. I had kept my eyes on him, so I was able to give the command "drop it" before he tried to swallow the splintered piece. Needless to say, the toy went into the trash after that. He enjoyed it while it lasted!
