Questions & Answers

Is there a weight recommendation for the Large and Extra Large? I am torn between the two for my 90+ lb. Rhodesian Ridgeback.

Answer by ChewyMay 28, 2020
This bed does not have a recommended weight. We recommend measuring your pet to find the perfect bed size. Pets who curl up to sleep can fit on a smaller bed, while pets who stretch out need a larger bed. To determine the ideal bed length, measure your pet in his or her normal sleeping position, then add 4-6” for cats and small dogs, or 8-12” for medium to large dogs. When in doubt, we suggest ordering the bigger size.

Is it firm? My dog is arthritic and needs girl support not squishy

Answer by ChewyJun 20, 2020
This bed is soft overall, it has a micro-suede suede lining and orthopedic-grade, hypoallergenic memory foam. It provides complete support for a more restful sleep and helps soothe joint and muscle discomfort for pups with arthritis, hip dysplasia, and other joint conditions.

Is this 1 solid piece of memory foam or pieces?

Answer by ChewyJul 11, 2018
This is one solid, 7-inch thick piece of orthopedic memory foam.

Wash cover ?

Answer by ChewyAug 09, 2020

I love it. It is very comfortable. My dog thinks it’s a piece furniture. She is not allowed on the furniture so she’s reluctant to get on it. It has been a new training adventure for a 14-year-old lab who’s got pretty bad arthritis. Haven’t given up yet though.

This bed will last your dog’s entire life. It’s very well made. The cover slips off easily and goes on easily and holds up to repeated washes. It also has a water proof zippered cover under the top cover. It did take some time for my dog to get used to it because he was very used to the cushiony type beds and this one is firmer because it’s for their joints and it’s orthopedic so it was much easier for him to get out of.

The best for all dogs!

Orthopedic, easy to install and wash. So comfortable for my pit, and can hold her weight and my, when she needs me next to her! I want one of those for me!

My doggy was slow to "get up" after lying on her old bed for more than a couple of hours. She seemed very stiff and had to take her time climbing stairs. My hope was this bed would help alleviate some of her stiffness..and it has! She gets up easier and the climb up the steps no longer is such a chore for her.

I have purchased this bed before. It was great. Lasted for years. So when it needed to be replaced i bought another one.. The bed came the same way. Allow for 72 hours to fully regain it's shape. We'll it just won't get there. It's been 72 hours and it's just stuck. I think part of the inside was melted. When I unzipped the bed it smelled weird and was sticky. It was a great bed in the past. I'm very disappointed

i purchased 2 of these very expensive dog beds. My reservations when receiving and viewing skeptical as i previously had purchased one a few years ago that was perfect, however these 2 had odd coloring, appeared to had gotten ect. Today for the first time i took them apart to was, the plastic inner liner on one is in crumbles, and the 2nd one just fell apart at the foam. No indication this would happen, as the first one has been broken down to washed numerous times with no problem. These are only a few months old. Not worth money unless it can be made right.

This is the second kopeks bed I have purchased. The first bed lasted five years and held up well. I eventually had to replace it because my dog made a hole in the foam when I removed the cover to wash it. The water resistant cover on the new bed disintegrated into thousands of pieces when I removed it. There appears to be a plastic martial added to the inside of the water resistant cover which eventually cracks into these multiple pieces. The headrest also fell off. The headrest appears to he held on by a thin layer of spray on glue. Overall, I am disappointed in the quality of the bed.
