Effective when it's on

We have a Frenchie that likes to eat her stool, and this has caused difficulty in treating on of her illnesses. So, we bought this muzzle based on reviews. It is a nice, soft silicone material with a strap that wraps around her head behind her ears and under her chin. It protrudes a bit in front of her head, maybe an inch or two, but this is expected with a French bulldog (flat nose). When this muzzle is on, she is unable to eat her stool. However, she does manage to work it off at times. If I keep an eye on her, I can be assured of preventing her unwanted behavior. But, this is worth it for me. I hesitate to make the strap tighter, but that might make more of a difference. In any case, I do believe this can be an effective muzzle in certain situations. If you are walking a dog with this muzzle and keeping on eye on your dog, this would be an effective tool. When I let my dog wander in our yard and persist in scratching it off, it's less so, but this muzzle appears to be the best option out there.
