Changing water and removing debris from gravel is a necessary part of maintenance for a healthy and balanced aquarium. With Lee’s Aquarium & Pets Economy Gravel Vacuum, performing quick water changes is easy! The tube is designed to efficiently separate debris from gravel for convenient cleaning. Just the right amount of suction is applied to lift and agitate the gravel, while the debris is effectively pulled away and disposed with flowing water. This allows the gravel to fall back down to the aquarium floor, leaving your scaly sidekicks' aquarium clean and debris-free!

I thought this would help to clean my tank by taking out the water and refilling the tank. However there no cylinder just the hose
The mini size is perfect for my five gallon tank. It sucks up the water at a nice slow pace, which gives me more time to do a better job of vacuuming. The suction is strong enough to grab the detritus yet doesn't disturb the gravel too much.
I absolutely love this product I breed guppies and this is perfect for my tanks. It doesn’t suck so hard that it pulls the babies in I love it.
In order to use this properly, you have to fully submerge the siphon and all of the tubing, place your finger on the end of the tubing, remove it from the tank (while the siphon remains submerged), and then wait for gravity to get the water moving. I purchased this for a 2.5 gallon tank, so submerging the siphon and tubing is completely impractical for my little tank. In order to use this for a smaller tank (less than 10 gallons), you will need to either purchase a hand pump or suck on the end of the tubing to get the water flow started, which, um, ew. There is plenty of tubing, and the quality seems decent for the price, but it wasn't practical for my needs.
Having trouble getting it to suck the water, but will try again. So just unsure on how I feel about this one just now. Pretty sure this is human error but we'll see.
Very easy to use and does a great job, leaves the fish undisturbed.
