Truly waterproof, but also cute and cozy!

I got several of these blankets to protect furniture when we had a cat recovering from major surgery and were unsure how well he would manage his litter box needs

I got several of these blankets to protect furniture when we had a cat recovering from major surgery and were unsure how well he would manage his litter box needs. He did fine and didn't need these blankets (thank goodness). But we've found them incredibly handy when a pet has eaten something idiotic outdoors and has been sick afterward or has played in the mud and come careening inside to dry themselves on mom's favorite chair. These blankets are truly waterproof. But they are cute and comfy enough that I don't mind them being draped on the furniture all the time!

I got both blue and purple in large!

They're quite thin and the pile (length of fibres) is pretty short on the patterned side, this isn't going to be like a plush faux fur blanket you'd find for yourself

They're quite thin and the pile (length of fibres) is pretty short on the patterned side, this isn't going to be like a plush faux fur blanket you'd find for yourself at the store. However, it's still VERY soft on either side and looks really, really cute. It does indeed have a waterproof inner layer, I was doubtful but I'm glad I was just being paranoid. The blue one looks great on our couch and the purple checkers are on a long ottoman to protect them both and don't look out of place or crinkly at all. The cats are obsessed. Hopefully *never* in a "marking my territory" way but in case it is, they're waterproof!

Honestly, I got this blankie because I couldn't resist the adorable design - I love the beautiful, happy green color with the cute flowers. It is very soft and fluffy. I don't know whom it makes happier - me or my dog - LOL. I use it on the bucket seat of my car when my puppy travels with me. It protects the car seat from dirt and liquid, and gives her a snuggly place to lay and nap during the ride. The medium is a little bit large for what I'm using it for - I should have gotten the small size.

I bought this waterproof blanket after discovering that the brand of blanket that I had previously purchased was sold out. I was initially disappointed in the quality,

I bought this waterproof blanket after discovering that the brand of blanket that I had previously purchased was sold out. I was initially disappointed in the quality, as it felt thin compared to our other blanket, and it didn't absorb my rabbit's "accidents" -- the liquid just pooled on the surface. But that was BEFORE I WASHED IT. After washing the blanket (cold water; low heat in dryer), everything changed. The blanket is now thick and fluffy, and it easily absorbs accidents. It washes beautifully, and the cheery design is a refreshing alternative to all the faux fur options.

To be fair to Chewy I did not reach out as I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning and waiting for the exchange, I wanted the blanket for a trip we took.
