CAN I USE IT FOR A SHIH TZU? SHE WEIGHS AROUND 11 LBS AND IS 21 INCHES LONG

This umbrella is for extra small and toy breeds. It's great for Shih Tzus, Pomeranians, Poodles, Teddies, Bichon Frises and Yorkies.
Can this umbrella be used for two small dogs? Is there a way to use your own dual dog retractable leach with this product?

This umbrella is not designed for use with a dual leash.
is the part that hooks to the color very strong

This product is made of a durable polyester material that resists tearing and comes with a built-in, strength-tested stainless steel leash that securely connects to your pup’s collar, which means it stays stable and closer to your pal for more coverage.
It says the leash is only 3 feet, is that from the umbrella to the hook for the collar or the handle? I am asking for someone that is tall and has a small dog, so they get longer leashes due to the height difference.

The steel chain that attaches to your pet's collar measures approximately 12.2 inches long and the handles measures approximately 20.8 inches long. Please refer to the photo below:

Nice idea, but terrified dog

I was excited about this leash because my dog absolutely hates rain and refuses to go outside, but unfortunately he was terrified as soon as it opened. One of the problems is the umbrella has to be open to work as a leash, so it’s a pain to put on while inside. I think if you could wait to open it as an umbrella once you’re outside, it might be less scary for dogs bc they can understand how it keeps them dry.

Very cute and seems sturdy enough for our small dogs

I ordered this for our small dogs. They hate rain. This will be so much better than trying to hold a large umbrella over top of them without hurting them. The leash part was very short, so I removed it. We have a fenced in yard, so it wasn't needed.

Terror inducing

It was lightly raining so I decided to try out my new dog umbrella and my dog was absolutely terrified of it, the handle is made for a much smaller hand than mine, and when my dog was terrorized she snapped a part of the umbrella with the leash chain.

OMG YOU HAVE to get one!!!?

Our dog wouldn't go out when it rains and I had seen this umbrella-my husband said she wouldn't like it--guess what==she LOVES it!! People think we're crazy-guess what-we live in FL, its rainy season, and she will go outside!!!

Great for rainy days.

I personally like this umbrella is a great thing to have for dogs that hate the rain but my Minkie is afraid of it. She's a rescue so maybe she was abused by something that looks like the umbrella leash. I'll try to let her see that it won't hurt her and she can go out in the rain without getting wet. May take some time and I do hope she'll like it.

Beware of this product

Please do not buy this product — and if you must, please make sure you use a regular leash with it. The handle is not stable and broke off mid walk for me, while the umbrella stayed attached to my puppy. This spooked him and caused him to run into oncoming traffic. It was terrifying. You’re better off with a raincoat and booties and holding your own umbrella.
