The washable cover is nice, and maybe it comes quite a bit larger than the foam insert to account for shrinking over the first few wash-and-dry cycles. However, upon initial use, it’s loose around both ends, though that means the foam is very easy to insert. I gave it time to expand for a couple days, but it seems not to have needed more than half an hour or so. Good news is the dogs enjoy it, and the foam has nice structure to it (versus some cheap beds’ obvious foam scraps left over from manufacturing other products) and is indeed super soft while still providing cushion. It’s on the thinner side but true to the dimensions listed in the description.

I'm using the bed in my older dogs (bo) crate and he absolutely loves it! Its really soft and seems very comfortable. I love that you can zip off the cover and wash it too.

I bought this for my new rescue, Elvis. The first night he slept on it all night beside the bed. Next night, stayed there 1/2 the night and went back to his older bed. That's OK because my cat Moe absolutely loves the bed. So all is well:)
