The mat did the job of slowing down how quickly my cat eats, so that is a plus. However since my cat eats wet food there are just too many corners for the food to get stuck on where he can’t get to it at all. It seemed when I was washing the mat a lot of food was going to waste. Might be better for dry food eaters.
